Got my rheumy appointment on Monday, get some blood results back and I'll tell him that I basically stopped taking all my meds because they did nothing and I also need to ask if he'll write a letter for me to apply for disability so I might be able to have enough money to live.

How is everyone?
We need to throw some positivity in here...What's an uplifting movie you watch when feeling bad? Or a nice food you treat yourself?

I get to meet my new rheumatologist next week on Wednesday. What are good questions to ask for your first time?

I'm trying to be positive by listening to upbeat music. My guy, his grandmother is in the hospital. She's unresponsive. He lost his other grandmother and I lost my mother earlier this year. I'm trying to keep myself positive. I'll drown if I don't find at least one thing to be grateful for.

And I take birth control that keeps me from having ladies time of the month. I get such bad pain I'll turn white as a sheet and even become slightly anemic. If you're anything like me... *Super huge but gentle hugs*

Quick update.

I had my IV infusion of Lidocaine on Tuesday and its now Friday and I am still at a pain level of 5 !!!! I have not gone back up to my normal 7 ! I don't know how long this will last ... But.... this break from the pain is actually giving me a bit of hope that this might indeed be something that will over time build up and be long lasting !

Gentle hugs to all

Cake I am worried about you hun

((((( Cake )))))

Please let us know what the test results are. Please take care of yourself and rest as much as possible. Everything else can wait.

Christina, I am so happy for the results of your lidocaine infusions!

Please, everyone else, hang in there. Lots of hugs!

Today is day two on Lyrica. I haven't had a single seizure or episode today. Maybe what Amitriptyline caused, it's finally either going away on its own or it's being stopped by Lyrica. Can't drive though, I feel very sleepy and sort of buzzed like you said. Like right before you get drunk but you're still impaired.

The pain is still here during the day but I'm not taking the recommend dose of 50MG twice daily. I take it only once as it stops the pain at night... But if I took it during the day I'd be too lethargic to function. Just getting sleep with no pain makes my next day far better than its been!

Let's hope I keep the side effects to a minimum, so far so good!

Woah! I have sleep paralysis but I've never felt my body being moved or pulled!

That was scary! Day two of taking Lyrica. I sure hope these episodes aren't a sign...

It's very nice to meet you DeeWock60. I don't take your kind of medicine but I hope you go back to your Dr. and ask for another kind. You'll find everyone is very nice in this thread and we will all gladly share our tips for getting by with you. Again, welcome!

SeptembersRain, I hope you call the Dr! Tell her what is happening with you so you can change doses or something!

I hope everyone feels better and has a lovely Sunday.

I spent Friday getting ready for a yard sale. Then Saturday at the sale and cleaning up afterward. I'm muscle sore from carrying all the stuff, but the most recent flare seems to have backed off. Or maybe the sore muscles are out shouting the fibro pain.

Hi guys rhemy tomorrow then on Tuesday I see the pulmonary doctor and hopefully I will get the results of the CT.

Still coughing up blood and lots of green stuff. It hurts to move. Not to mention the hectic week I had last week. I ended up frying 2 whole chickens, mash Potatoes, Mac and cheese and corn. I made enough for my grandmother so she did not have to cook one night. Then my daughter took food to her boyfriend then her Friday stopped by and when I looked in the ice box all the chicken was gone I was so upset so I fried another chicken today for my grandmother. Ken smoked 4 slabs of ribs and a brisket for the football game today. Some is going to my grandmother and some went to our friends and some they ate for dinner but all that cooking, then cleaning up the mess takes a lot out of you. Plus everyday last week I had to be some where

Now this week I have the 2 appointments BUT we have to back for our trip and still box up the kids rooms and neither one of them are helping. Ken's worried about me and so is my doctor. I am almost ready to give in and go into the hospital

Ok I am done complaining. Ok one more thing. I got our kitten neutered and we had to put the "cone of shame" on him I do take it off when he is sleeping on me which he wants to do all the time. But last night he got his cone dirty and jumped in my face. I am so tired and I hurt so bad. And how do you explain this. I could stay in bed with the cats for a week

Ok I am done now.

I miss ours talks

I know standing at the stove for hours does not help. I have loaded run unloaded the dishwasher only to have to load it again and run it again then unload it all over. I can't continue on like this.

Hi everyone, it seems like we are always struggling with something doesn't it? every time we think things are improving then something else goes wrong.

I have had a lovely week visiting friends and celebrating my 69th birthday, but now I need another week to recover.

Hope you all improve soon, and for those of you trying new meds, hang in there it's worth it.

Cake lady, If I cook I don't clean up as well, I let someone else do it, otherwise I would be like you, in too much pain and too exhausted. I hope you feel better soon.

Let someone else wash the damned dishes. If they are too lazy to do that let them eat off paper plates!

Cake, I agree with Liz and Calamity Jane. You have no business cleaning the dishes. Actually you have no business cooking in the shape you're in right now! I beg you to take better care of yourself. You are a nurturer, but right now you need to take care of yourself.

Please let us know what the Dr. says and if he wants you to go in the hospital, please go and let someone take care of you for a change.

Man if it's one thing it's another. I've come down with both viruses that are going around where I work. One is a GI thing. I won't go into details. The other is a nasty respiratory thing. I'm doing my level best to cough up a lung.

Gotta love my boss. First she tells me to go home because I'm sick. Then she fusses at me to be sure to meet my numbers for the month.

So , I dealing with Bronchitis , Its getting better, But Liz??? Yeah I hear you on the cough up a lung , Gah !

My lap top crashed. I'm pretty Hypo from lack of sleep thanks to the coughing and the Steroid shot I really did need,, So I spent all day Monday cleaning scrubbing floor and moving heavy large furniture around .. Why? because I can . I am still getting some relief from that IV Lidocaine last Tuesday, But I can feel my Fibro trying to come back with a vengence. I go for another one the 24th ! I hope they are correct when they say numerous treatments build up and give a longer lasting relief. I will say having my normal 7+ pain level down to a 5 is amazing and I haven't had anything lower than a 7 in over 5 years.. So " 5" feels pretty cool.

I am hoping my Hypo doesnt flip right in a ugly messy Mania, But I am enjoying getting so many things done ...

Cake? Please woman ! Stop doing anything and everything for anyone but youself . You don't have helpless toddlers to take care of,, Hubby , son and daughter will not starve to death , but if you keep pushing yourself I worry that you will check yourself out , So please heed all the great advice and just stop,, Stop and focus on " you "

Everyone ! Be kind to your self ! Do something that makes you smile today.

I believe my "cold" is actually bronchitis. If things are no better tomorrow I'm gonna call the doc's office and see if I can get an appointment. My back, chest and stomach muscles are screaming at me. I think it's partly all the coughing. It didn't help that BG (dog) got into the chicken coop tonight and went after the chickens. I, literally, had to fight him off two of them, then drag him to the barn to lock him up. I hurt too much to lay down. I hurt too much to sit.

okay gonna stop whining now....

Please do call the Dr. and go in and be seen. I had acute bronchitis and strep and I hurt just as you've described. Try to snuggle back into a recliner if you have one. It will support your back and sides. Let us know how you're doing.

I forgot to add to use a heating pad on your back and you can hold a folded towel or a pillow on your tummy when you cough. I'm so sorry you're in such pain.

I hope everyone gets well and feels better soon. Please be patient with yourselves. It takes time to get better. I am just now beginning to feel better although I don't have much energy.

The girl at the front desk forgot to make my appointment and the doctor left for India on vacation so I have to wait till he gets back. Or I can go to the imaging place and get a copy of then reports.

We leave for Florida next week. Not sure I want to know the bad news if that makes sense
