I woke up in the night and was sick again, so I went to the Dr. today. I'm back on antibiotics for strept and lung infections. It's very dangerous for me to take antibiotics because of my colitis. I had managed to go without antibiotics for a long time and now I've had them twice in one month. If you don't mind, say a little prayer for my safety or send a good thought my way. I would sure appreciate it.

It's official. I'm diagnosed with fibromyalgia. They are also running tests to see if I'm developing rheumatoid arthritis too. Tested negative for small fiber neuropathy.

Amitriptyline is really helping me sleep but doesn't do too much for the pain.

My anxiety is not really being helped with my Xanax anymore. Might have to bring that up to my psychiatrist.

Funeral tomorrow for my guys grandmother. It's gonna be a rough day...

Thank you so much September. ((((( September ))))) I hope the funeral is as pain free as it can be and that everyone stays strong. I hope you get your meds sorted out soon. They can be such a help when they're right and no help when they're not!

Cake, makes sense to me that you would not want to hear potentially bad news just before leaving on vacation.

Jan, you and your insides will be in my thoughts.

I have an appointment with the doc this afternoon. I'm pretty sure my "cold" is bronchitis. Been down this road so many times I know what I need to get better. Don't you wish you could just call the doc and tell them what's wrong without having to see them? I'm not up to the drive into town to see her.

It would be so nice to call the doctor tell them what's wrong then have the pharmacy deliver your meds so you do not have to leave the house.

Hubby worked a double shift last night I thought he would be home at 3am but at 3:50 am I got up to go to the bathroom. Mind you I only slept a couple of hours. Then when he got home I moved to the couch for a couple more hours sleep

I then got up to let the dog out and put a roast in the crock pot. My head is pounding. I just took some meds and I am going to try and lay down again

Ok I am going to vent a little sorry in advance.

So hubby got home around 5 am it is now 10:39 am when he got home I moved to the couch with the cats jumping on me and me just trying to get some sleep since I can't sleep when he is working nights. His work just called and the fool went back in.

I have been super quiet so he can sleep. I even forgot my morning meds in our room and did not go get them until I was forced to because the phone rang and it was my daughters doctors office and I needed information from my purse in our room

So he worked 2 8 hour shifts that does not include the time to and from work and I heard his cell go off but I did not think much about it but he ran out of the house like he was being chased. I don't think it's fair.

Ok I am done I am going to lay down for a little bit I am so tired

Thanks January......I'm here......been keeping tabs on everyone just been quiet. Having a bad day today but otherwise I've been good. Go back to dr for my stomach on Monday. Will find out more about surgery.

Im sorry so many are having a rough time .

I am pretty much over my dance with Bronchitis, Total suckage !!!

I went to the Pain Clinic yesterday. I got more Lidocaine and Torodal injections in my upper neck and across my shoulders area.. It dropped my pain in those ares about 30% for almost 2 weeks in that area.. I can have thoses done every 2 weeks If I want too.

I have another IV lidocaine infusion scheduled for Tuesday.. I got almost 10 days of pain down from a 7 to a 5 .. I haven't had a pain level of 5 in almost 5 years. So I feel there is hope , finally , maybe ...

Please Ladies ... Rest up , All you sickies .. Drinks loads of fluids to flush out your system. Be kind to yourself!

I hope I can get my laptop working again soon and I will be back on more often

For me eating and drinking is a chore. I took my last antibiotic today and I still have to go to walmart to get stuff for our trip plus pack plus pack and clean out the kids room so they can be painted while we are gone.

I called in the last two prescriptions for the trip. I picked up 9 on Monday and some before that. I have to make sure my breathing machines are ready and cleaned real good for the trip.

I really wish we had a direct flight but nope we could not get one so we have to change planes which makes me nervous because they have to transfer my powerchair. I also wish I had my normal 2 days with no one bugging me when we get there but I will not have that. Since my uncle and grandmother are going it's going to be go go go from the time we get there. I will have a break the day they leave. They leave before us by a couple of days. The day they leave I am not leaving my bed.

I am thinking about going to the imagining place on Monday to get the reports. I will be able to tell what's going to happen next by reading the reports. Ifs it's bad and they say chemo I have to decide if I want that route.

It's been a tough week for me. 2 people one from this forum and one from another one both died and both had lupus. The one from the other forum had lupus plus she took a chemo drug called mexotrexate which ended up giving her pulmonary fibrous. I took mexotrexate and I now have pulmonary fibrous and have had it for the last few years. Add RA, fibro and some other things sometimes you just don't want to know what those reports say.

We will see. I want to thank you guys for letting me vent and all the hugs and advice you guys have given me. I am not going anywhere but sometimes people need to stop and tell the others in their lives thank you and show them that they are appreciated. And I appreciate each and everyone of you.

I posted about the doc visit in the social forum. Thought I posted here too, but apparently didn't.

I walked by the doc in the hall on the way back to the room yesterday. Had a coughing fit as I walked by. She looked up and said "sounds like serious bronchitis." When she listening to my lungs she confirmed it. Probably helped that I had another coughing fit while she was listening. She gave me scripts for an antibiotic, a steroid pack and an inhaler.

Took them to the pharmacy at Wally World on my way home. I swear they must hire from the bottom of the barrel at Wally World pharmacies. I always have problems with them. First the clerk behind the counter spoke limited English. I sound like a bullfrog when I talk and had to repeat myself at least three times every question she asked. I know I sound odd, but fer gawd's sake can you not tell the difference between "June" and "seven"???? Then my insurance info was not in the system!?!?! What the hey? I just got some scripts a few weeks ago. I hand her my card and she enters the information in the computer.

Then she asks if I want to pick the meds up the next day. No, I want them now, how long will it be? At least an hour. I all I wanted to do was go home and fall on the sofa. I agree to wait for them. Wandered off and picked up a few things I needed in the grocery section. Back to the pharmacy in an hour. The scripts were ready, but there the clerk entered my insurance info incorrectly so they had to reenter it. By now I'm leaning on the counter wheezing like a broke down freight train. All I want is my stinkin' meds so I can go home and crash.

Then the pharmacist says my insurance will not cover the inhaler. WHAT???? It's a common inhaled med! Sorry, the doctor wrote the name of the medication on the script and your insurance won't cover it. Then the dumb, er "bunny", asks if I want to wait until she can consult with the doc to clarify about the script! It is now 7:30 on a Friday night! I'm barely able to stand, coughing my lungs up and wheezing AND SHE WANT TO KNOW IF I WANT TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY!?!?!?!?! I think if I'd had the energy I might have launched myself across the counter at her. I asked her how much without the insurance and told her I'd pay for it myself. I'm grateful I was able to pay for it. My heart goes out to those who have to decide between eating and meds.

On a positive note, yeah there is one, I started using the inhaler as soon as I got home last night. I kept it next to me while I slept so I could take a hit during the night. I can tell it's starting to help. Also started the antibiotic and steroids. Too soon to tell if they are helping or not.

No problem I feel your pain.

I had a seizure this morning and my head is now pounding. Hubby made me go get a couple of new things for our trip one of which was a new bra. I am the least materialistic person there is and since I am home most of the time it does not matter what I wear but the last bra I bought was 2008. So I got a couple of new ones

Now I am going to rest. I packed a little and did a few things. But boy do I hurt.

The kitten learned how to use the remote. Hubby is still trying to figure that one out.

You just never know what's going to happen. I think that's why this trip means so much. And I have already made my arrangements that way hubby will not have to. He will have his hands full dealing with our special needs child and our daughter

LettinGo, please let us know what you find out from your stomach Dr. I hope you don't have to have surgery, but if it will help you feel better, I understand. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Liz, can you possibly change your pharmacy? I wouldn't want to go to WalMart. Of course, I avoid WalMart like the plague, but I go to a small family owned pharmacy and they treat me like royalty. Can you do that? I'm so glad your Dr. found your bronchitis and has you on the right meds for it now.

Christina, I'm so glad your shots are working! I'm so happy for you! I'm also glad you're over your bronchitis.

Cake, what can I say? Please, please take better care of yourself, no matter what anyone wants you to do. Plant your butt in a recliner and stay there when it comes to packing those rooms! If it doesn't get done, meh.... It doesn't get done. Please take care of yourself, dear Cake.

I understand about making final arrangements. It is a good thing to do.

I am on my second round of bronchitis and strept throat. This second round isn't nearly as bad as the first one because I caught it early and went to the Dr. I'm just weak. Today will be 48 hrs after I started the antibiotics so I'm not supposed to not be contagious anymore. I have to wash the covers I've been using in the recliner and spray the heck out of it with Lysol. At least it's citrus scented so it will smell good.

For some reason, my neck and the back of my left hand have been broken out in big hives since the first strept/infection started. Does anyone have any ideas on that? I'm taking benedryl, but it's helping the itching a little bit but not taking care of the hives.

I made out my list of "who gets what" in case something happens. I'm not expecting anything to happen, but I was so sick with this last case of bronchitis, that I didn't think I was going to make it and I realized I had left it undone.

Hi guys I need to vent a tiny bit. Our trip is right around the corner and it feels like I have 10000 things to do plus it's supposed to rain and get I to the 30's here the next few days which makes moving very hard.

I ordered my last 2 meds to get me through the trip now I need to finish packing, washing clothes and running a few errands and all I want to do is sleep. It's been a couple of rough nights with my daughter. I think once we get there things will be ok its leading up to the trip that hard

I am not sure I will be able to post while there but just know you guys are in my thoughts and prayers

Hope your trip is safe and that you feel at least a little better soon! Try to enjoy the trip even if getting there really is really exhausting. =)

On another note, my head itches but I can't wash it for three days. EEG at home to see if my issues are neurological. =/

Seeing a cardiologist next week Monday. My heart rate stays above 120 BPM.... Ugh.

I'm over it. Now I can't even take any meds for the fibromyalgia pain. Blah of the century. LOL

I get to wear a hat to thanksgiving! Turned out I'm allergic to the creme they used to secure the EEG wires to my head. I've got these all over my head now... =/




Today I'm going to go back to taking meds and I'm gonna enjoy thanksgiving! I hope all of you enjoy yours as well! =D
