Hi EveDallas. Welcome. I'm going to echo what Jan said. Look for a "rheumatologist that believes in and helps people with fibro."

Thanks for this!

I am having a really nasty flare. Pain was so bad yesterday I was close to tears. Left work early and came home to curl up under my heated throw. TGIF so I can have a couple days to rest.

I am currently in the land of " I hate the world" I can't take a trip to some exotic place where fuzzy tasty drinks with umbrellas are served, so I will try for a weekend sleep coma. So today I am cleaning house so it will reduce the amount of guilt I will feel if I hide from the world.

Gentle Hugs and cupcakes to everyone

Jan, I'm residing in the land of "hate the world" too. My best friend called tonight and I groaned when I saw who was calling. I love talking to her, but didn't want to have to be social tonight.

People suck.

This disorder sucks.

The whole stinkin' world sucks.

Am going to take my nasty tempered self elsewhere in the forums.....

Big hugs to all of you who are not your normal happy selves. I loves ya anyway!

I posted this elsewhere, but thought you might need to know that this is a real problem...

After doing some research, I found out that my antibiotic can cause panic attacks. This taken by a person who has Panic Disorder. I'm so nervous and well - panicky. I have only four more days of the antibiotic to go. This, too, shall pass.

((((((( All )))))))
I have been in PC less and less... my DID system took a shaking after my former therapist finally died from cancer Oct. 10th. Other stressors and virtual disappearance of my former pnurse (who agreed to support me through an online DID program) has made it so that the Self is in jeopardy. Another internal adult (Elsa) has been spending more and more time as the front runner, which means I'm not present to remember to come to PC. It looks like Elsa is taking over - relieving me of my duties, as it were. It is sad, I feel myself fading to the back (or altogether when we stare at nothing for periods of time), but I want you all to know that I have appreciated your accepting welcome of me to the group and your care for me. I (Observer self, former front runner) will continue to think of you when I am "present" and try to get in here to say hello if poss. Elsa doesn't really connect with PC and has a lot going on to run the system... she has several times before - like our last several year absence from PC.
Please take care of yourselves; treat yourselves with care, sleep, proper food, and love.
I will be here when I can....
hugs,
.... me

I have been coughing up blood for the last few days. It's part of the lupus which has destroyed my lungs. It really stinks. I will call the the doctor tomorrow but there is not much they can do. With the he added stress of what's going on with the kids plus our up coming trip it might just be to much for me to deal with right now.

I am so tired, tired of this illness and tired of being sick all of the time The Fibromyalgia check in thread!

Omg this thread. I'm so glad I joined here.

I'm laying in bed with every joint and muscle in my body aching. Even my teeth.

If I go to the restroom one more time, I'm going to cry. My IBS is raging out of control. I'm so home bound right now I can't even imagine a short trip to a Walgreens within walking distance.

The new meds were doing so great until I started passing out from them and woke up with a stutter. Slowly the meds have left my system but I'm back to being exhausted and feeling like I got hit and runned by a Mack Truck. =(

I really hope they try a new medicine soon. As I am, I can't even work. Thankfully while I try new medications, I'll be working from home so no safety issues with driving. This is a small consolation but at least I'm finally trying to get help with the pain after years of self medicating with Tylenol PM and Xanax....

CakeLadie, I am sorry that you are feeling so bad. Stress piled on top illness Is not a good combination at any time! I hope you are wrapped up in your heated blanket. With your advice I am getting a heated blanket, thanks for the practical advice. Can you take a hot whiskey, it may help. * hugs to all *

So glad I took that Tylenol. I woke up today very sleepy but pain is minimal. Perhaps I'll have a good day.. If I can just stay out of the ladies room that is.

Cake, as Pierro said, wrap up tight in that heated blanket and take care of you. Let the other things go. You are the most important! ((((( Cakeladie ))))))

SeptemberRain, welcome to the thread. I am so sorry you are sick. I have Ulcerative Colitis, so I understand the bathroom trips and being too weak to walk or stand. Do you have a good gastroenterologist? Mine made my life worth living again. I hope you have one like mine. Take good care of yourself.

Yeah I do. He's the one who tried me on amitriptyline. It worked so well except they think it might have caused seizures. It really did help me sleep and plugged me right up!

Ahh. It's a game of playing which side effects are beatable and which aren't. I'm thinking their next try will be with Lyrica . Anyone here try that one?

Does it help at all with sleep? What are the side effects you experience?

Sleep... Lol no. Not for me anyway. I take it in the morning and again in the evening. At first, when I started taking it, I was very tired but I wish it would make me tired now. The only side effect is that my skin crawls sometimes but to be honest, I can't say that it is lyrica. I am on a lot of meds. The side effects are endless if you read the information leaflet, but everyone is different. Sorry I can't be of more help
