I've been crying everyday now and sometimes I just randomly start crying (like a lot). I end up crying in public places too and I can't stop myself from crying (i started crying in class once and in the library too). What do you suggest I do when I start crying? I tried listening to music and it doesn't quite help... same with breathing exercises

Hi bubbles,
This really seems to be interfering with your every day functioning. I am sure this is quite challenging for you. I am wondering if you have seen a doctor to discuss these concerns that you are currently facing to see if there is a possibility of you being able to get support? I've had moments in my life where it doesn't matter where I am or what I am doing - I am crying, crying, crying. I am sorry that you are currently going through this. Ensure that each day you manage to do something that "cares" for yourself. It can be a walm bath, reading a good magazine, watching your favourite tv show etc. Hang in there! |

I can't seem to concentrate anymore if I try to read. I kind of just 'zone out'. I don't really watch TV anymore either; it's been a long time (considering how I'm always at school so I can't really watch TV... I basically only go home to go to sleep).

Hi Bubbles,
I can see where you are coming from. As this group is called, coping with emotions, I tend to cry a lot too and suddenly. It is not fun at all. I, of course, do not know you or your family, but I think that your parents should be okay knowing you are seeing a doctor about something that is bothering you. If and when you go see a doctor, it might be a helpful thing. I can relate to the not watching tv anymore and zoning out. I feel like doing something that you enjoy would help you with trying to subside the crying and emotions. But you are not in the wrong with feeling this way. And being scared of having your parents find out is normal in my book. I have a similar situation where I cannot go to my mom for help most of the time because I feel she judges me. Anywho that is a work in progress. But consider letting your parents know how you feel and seeing a doctor. Try to find some ways to cope. We are all here for you. ![]() --Fancy |

I'm sorry sweety, I have these crying spells that just comes out of anywhere, but they are tied into my depressive states.
Is there a school counselor that you can confide in or talk to? Remember, if things gets too much to handle, you can call a crisis center or 911 if you feel like your a danger to yourself or others. They are there to help. I've called them a few times and I got great help. Good luck sweety ![]() Now I feel like crying for you! ![]() |
