My mom was pretty mean to me. She wouldn’t appreciate me much. I mean, she would if she could. But now I struggle with appreciating myself. I almost always tell myself, what’s so great about what I did? It’s not enough. Still struggle with that. I need to make a success journal but I wanna know your input on how to do it

I’ve seen and felt the fleeting moments when I have felt gratitude for something amazing, eg, sunset, nature, the ocean, birds feeding their babies etc and been in the present feeling grateful and appreciative, but it doesn’t last long and doesn t seem to help for the times when i am too deep in loathing. ‘But in that appreciative/gratiutude it is truly an amazing feeling, wish I knew how to capture it and make it last longer.

You can make the beauty and the feeling last longer if you write it down, so you feel it again every time you read it.
