I just have to let this out

I have a set of blue desk lights that used to be my pride and joy. I liked watching them light up the walls (it was beautiful)

since then things have happened, trauma's got worse, more bad memories have been created, and the one thing I really don't want to see on my wall is those lights

it's just... ugg. I suppose I have to think about taking them down and selling them. I'm not throwing them away, because they are still working

It’s normal to want to change one’s environment when trying to recover from trauma. So it’s not that you no longer enjoy the blue lights but instead a very deep instinctual need to seek a different environment/location giving you a sense of distance from whatever traumatized you.

Take them off and put them away. At some point you might feel ok and would want them back up. I tend to get rid of things too quickly and then regret it
