I am venting here....
I am really angry. I just bumped into my old college roomate on a new feature Yahoo has. I went to a Christian college... Most of you already know I am a lesbian. Anyway...my former college roommate happens to be involved in this Minsitry called EXODUS FREEDOM. Basically, it is a ministry for "homosexuals" to leave that "lifestyle" and come back to God. NOW>>>>>> I believe in God, Jesus and I believe to be a Christian. However, I cannot believe there is truly such a hatred out there from "God's people" for thos who are gay/lesbian. I am very upset now. I feel worthless to begin w/ because of what happened to me when I was a little girl. But now, I feel like I am just so WRONG in everything I do. And, I now want to die more then just the usual amount! I feel like an exploded ballon...impossible to repair and use again. |

Sorry that there are ignorant people in the world,, well maybe I shouldn't say ignorant( everyone is entitled to there opinion) but I feel as if GOD loves you for you and you should love you for you as well. Think of the wonderful person you are, and the people who NEED you here. On these boards alone.. I bet there are LOTS!! Cheer up, and try to SMILE

Yes, there are VERY ignorant people in the world. I'm sorry someone said those things to you. I also love you for you..... NO MATTER WHAT. Don't let this person get you down like this. You are worth so much more than that. Love is love.... no matter what.

"believe" that they can change a person's lifestyle. ignore that. it's ignorant and thoughtless. stay the course. detach from it and move on. |

I'm sorry that your old roomate hurt you so badly...YOU are one of God's very special children, and loves you completely, as created. I'm sorry that you are judging all Christians by this one group, yay, this one person. I'm sorry you feel Christians hate you. I am a Christian, and the Christians I know don't hate people.. . they can hate what people do. To say there are no people IRL who have had that lifestyle and are happy to have changed it would be a disservice to their own beliefs. That doesn't mean that you have to, imo. Nor does it mean, to me, that you are less of a person than anyone else. Everyone gets God's love (whether they want it, feel they deserve it, or refuse it otherwise )If your lifestyle is not an issue for you, then move on to those things that do bother you. I'm glad your T is helping. I hope you feel better soon, and that your former acquaintance can learn a fuller expression of real love.

My darling susan.. You are not worthless and YOU CAN NOT DIE!!!! This ole dragon would be very unhappy if she lost her best girlfriend on the web.. *** Dragon tears falling*** the ingornace of some ppl is beyond me.. I love you no matter what sex you like nor do I care if you belive in God he/she is there to love and protect us from ppl like that. Sometimes he gets busy and misses a few of them.. Block this person from your YIM and dont ever speak to your old roommate again.. YOu were doing so much better I thought you were at least.. Keep your pretty little head held high for who you are, not what others think about you.

I am glad you are feeling a bit better. I, too, went to a Christian college and I am sure God loves you no matter who or what you are! Unfortunately, we Christians are spending lots of time judging when we should be loving. I am so sorry you had this painful encounter. I am convinced that Jesus hurts with you. Obviously, lots of people here hurt with you too. I hope that helps. |

I would like to clarify ONE THING: Being a lesbian is NOT my lifestyle. It is who I am. Do hetrosexuals view themselves as having a hetro lifestyple? No. Well, neither do I think my homosexuality is my lifestyle. |

As a Christian myself I do not necessarily believe that these people you speak of actual hate you or any person that is homosexual, but rather they are trying to let you know that even though God does and always will LOVE YOU no matter what - that He still has certain things / ways that he requires of all of us and from our walk of life.... I am neither the judge nor the prosecutor in this world, therefore, I accept & love everyone I come in contact with and leave the rest to the man up stairs - no questions asked.

That's completely wrong what those "Christians" are doing. I for one don't agree with that way of thinking, but if God made you in his image, then there is nothing wrong with YOU! You are a wonderful person and ya never know, maybe God is gay, too! We don't know what is true, so we cannot judge each other. I know a lot of people do, and are filled with so much hatred for people like us, but believe me...they are WRONG! Don't listen to them or even look at them if it helps you!
I converted to Paganism because of the hatred I encountered in the Christian community. I have always been very nature-oriented, and respect every religion out there. I find it very hard to accept people who are unwilling to accept me, though. I just want you to know that you are a beautiful person inside and out. You are not anything that those people say you are...I accept you for who you are. Try to hang in there.
