So something happened to me yesterday. I don't know if it is good or bad. I was laying in bed thinking and I realized I don't feel much. I always thought I did because everything hurt but I just don't care anymore. I have graduation today. From high school, and I am not excited. Why should I be? Things that used to excite me don't anymore. It is kind of scary. It is like whatever happens, happens. Maybe this is a good thing or maybe I am just loosing it.

Some times after we have gone thru so much bad in life our mind & body just needs to shut down in order to heal from the inside out and then YOU (the person) will be found again.

CONGRATULATION!!!! on Graduating..... YOU should be PROUD, if nothing else.

Hi xrainstormx

Congratulations on graduating from highschool. When I graduated (2 years ago now), I felt the exact same way as you do. Mostly because I still didn't have a clue as to what I wanted to do once I "got out"!! To tired to care....???

I agree with Rhapsody too. Hope you're feeling better soon and come to the realization that graduating is a MAJOR accomplishment. To tired to care....???

*HUGS* to you and PM me if you want to talk.

Thank you. If my body shuts down, well...... I wouldn't have time for that. I wish things were easy. Thanks again.

Change is often difficult...and leaving school is a big change. I think we all wanted school again by the end of the summer each year, right? Now you aren't going back to see all those ppl, no routine expected like that... it can take a bit to reorganize. To tired to care....???

(((((((((( xrainstormx )))))))))

What was it that happened to you yesterday? Or is it a long-standing problem that has been bothering you?

Maybe you will be able to work out what it was that has made you feel sad and confused.

Would you like to talk about it?

Rain, I remember my own high school graduationa million years ago and I was numb and empty. I spent a lot of time with some of those people and have had no contact since. It's okay to have mixed feelings. I just knew inside that these were not my real connections in life with a few exceptions.

A phase of your life has passed and here you are. It is way too cool and too scarey. Remember that we can make different decisions all of the time. What you decide today might be different next week and that is okay. Some of us do many many jobs in our lives. It's a great learning experience.

I felt that my own high school, and college graduation were really silly stupid events that had little to do with me and my life. It is a confusing time. It's okay to be confused and to take time to figure it all out. I could say a lot more but just know that this is a big change and having few or no feelings is normal I think. Take care.
