Met my pdoc 3 times in 6 weeks, i meet him again next week.
Wellbutrin isn't kicking in at all, it's pointless. When paxil kicked in, I felt it it.(was on it 3 months before from my family doctor) When does wellbutrin work? should I request a different drug?? Doc said in our first meeting I could possibly be bipolar and I have symptoms of chronic depression. I'm asking for a diagnosis next week, I'm frustrated. I feel the weight surging from the front of my skull to the back, down my neck, pressing down on my shoulders. I've lost all my friends. I'm alone. It's all so pointless. |

Wellbutrin didn't do anything for me, either. Sure, Wellbutrin helps a certain percentage of the people who take it, but it's not for everyone. Just tell your doctor what you've shared here, particularly the contrast with Paxil.

ya, just tell him and see if you can get it switched. i'm on my 3rd try with an antidepressant, Prozac, past 10 days. it's so frustrating playing the waiting game. this is my first time ever trying SSRIs. the first 2, celexa & zoloft, i waited 2 mos. on with no effect.

I was diagnosed with depression 16 years ago and feel like I have tried every SSRI available to me. Zoloft was the most effective with the least side effects, but stopped working for me after less than 5 years. None of the other antidepressants I have tried seem to have any positive effect for me, except for Effexor, which has unpleasant side effects for me. I take it because I need to. If I don't take it, I am a danger to myself. I try newer medications as they are available to me, but nothing has been as helpful as Effexor for me.
I'm sorry wellbutrin is not working for you. Please share your concerns with your prescribing medical person as soon as you can. Don't give up. ![]() |

Since doubling up on the Effexor just over 2 months ago, the worst side effect for me, has been dealing with being warm, almost hot, all the time. I do not tolerate being hot well to begin with, and, so, when the weather:heats up, I really can become uncomfortable ![]() |

I have been going through a crisis so my pdoc increased my dosage to 150mg. So I am hotter and sweatier still. I loathe it, but need it. My favorite ambient temperature varies between 55 and 60 degrees fahrenheit. |
