%#@&#!!!! does NO ONE care??? the only way i can talk to my best friend is if i block my number. and if i confront her about it, she gets pissed. then she says that there are times when she just "cant talk" [um, ALL THE TIME???] but that she has to pick up a restricted number because it might be her dad. so basically what shes saying is that she has to pick up the phone if its her dad, but she will never pick up the phone for me, her best friend, or call me back, or even take the 10 seconds to text me. and then whenever i have some %#@&#! going on in my life or im depressed, she ALWAYS has worse stuff going on and shes ALWAYS more depressed. you know what, i know its true, but it doesnt make my stuff less important. so i feel like i cant tell her if im suicidal, i cant tell her when my parents are being ridiculous. though, for that matter even if i could tell her these things, i couldnt because she wouldnt pick up her damn phone.

Do you have another friend you can trust to talk to? It's never good to deal with someone who is always belittling your problems. Yes, maybe hers are worse, but hers are nothing compared to the AIDS problem in Africa. Just think of it like that, you don't HAVE to put in perspective because there will always be someone worse. You are still entitled to your feelings and your feelings are legitimate and deserve attention.
I'm not saying you should just dump the relationship, but maybe you can start forming stronger bonds with other friends you have and find someone who will be there to listen and help when you need it. |

no. i mean, yes i have other friends. but no one like her. shes my best friend, i love her more than anyone, i would die for her, she says she would die for me. that's great, but cant she PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE ONCE IN A WHILE?????????

Yeah, it's tough. Maybe you can send her an email or a letter asking what's up? Maybe she is just very overwhelmed right now with something else? I don't know, but you deserve to have her pick up the phone :\

she is overwhelmed with lots of stuff: her parents are horrible people, especially her mom, her boyfriend [who has also become one of my good friends] is about to go to trial for 6 or 7 auto thefts and hes turning himself in tomorrow, so she's depressed of course. but SO AM I!!! and i am ALWAYS there for her. i always have been, i ALWAYS put aside what's bothering me if she needs me. i ALWAYS put her before myself. i would do anything for her. but she just cant pick up the phone to call me once in a while. or even answer my calls

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she picked up the phone, and i told her what i did and stuff and we talked about it for a bit and she said the thing and now im HAPPYHAPPYHAPPYHAPPYHAPPYHAPPYHAPPYHAPPY x 9000000000000000!!!!!!!!!
