you should take it to sessions to hold/squeeze when things are hard so the teddy can help you feel safe

YAY Esther!!

How nice to have a physical object from your T to hold on to during and inbetween sessions! I'm so happy your T gave you this soft, cuddly teddy bear to hold tight to. Please remember it in hard times!!

Just out of curiousity, did you name him/her?

Ohhhhh that is so wonderful. I told T I wished he would give me a teddy bear when he goes away instead of books and music, lol. You can't cuddle with books and music. (Ok, I did, but that's another story). Your T really cares about you. My T cares about me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's wonderful EV. now you have a tangible object you can use to 'see' the care that your T has for you. very happy to have read this. thanks for sharing w/ us all.

not all Ts work this way nor would it be appropriate for them to do so. that's great your T is one of the ones who does see the value in presenting a client w/ a tangible object that can help the client w/ connection and constancy. we're glad you and your T have worked to this level of trust together...and it has been work! well done sweetie!
