Nooo, you said it yourself, the lies within are just lies. That's all. They've got no real existence except what you give them.

Is there any way to distract yourself from them for a while? Go for a run, write a journal, play with your kids?

I've tried taking extra clonazepam...like a bit more than a double does...

Not as healthy but the kids are asleep...and I've got some rum to numb me...and knock the manic part out of me...

Lies can't win unless you do give in. If you can't fight them, at least say you aren't listening today. Is that what the drink is for? Lies not a good way to go...alcohol is a depressant and you will feel worse for feeding the lies. (((((hugs))))

Take some "me time" but don't allow your mind to stay stuck on the negative things. I know you will probably say there is nothing but negative, but there are neutral things if you can't find anything positive. Think on those things, but stop your thoughts before you turn them negative or against yourself. (Meaning, if you think, the sun is shining... stop there. Don't go further and think about how it will probably rain or how you can't enjoy it or... see what I mean? Stop with the good thought right there and leave it. Don't turn things against yourself. (I know how this goes... I've suffered terribly with depression.)

TC of yourself, you're worth it. Lies

Sky...I know you are right and it would be the same advice I would give...

tonight it's coming to a head ... I need to be back at work on Thursday after two weeks off...and I see the owner of buildings I manage is coming in Monday...I'm just not ready to handle another visit...third in less then a year...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

So I'll barely just start getting organized and then slammed with an owner visit...

that does suck. But you're up to it, if you've managed two owner visits you can get through this one. Plus, at least the visit isn't tomorrow...

Do you have people you can delegate to to take some stress off? I find if I can take stress off somehow, sometimes the depression goes away for a bit...

you're not alone - lots of people here care about you!!!!!

how bout we come up with a few ways of beating down those LIES!!!!

we can....
hit 'em with a frying pan
throw 'em off a cliff
bury 'em in the sand
freeze 'em till they're stiff
burn 'em till their toasty
drown 'em in a river
i think we've got 'em mostly
the rest we'll leave to shiver
on the banks of that old river!!!!!!!

feel better dear!!!!!!

meander... I did say that...I have changed my signature...to something more hopeful...

I wasn't much of a father over the last two weeks...I'm angry at myself...the kids deserved a better two weeks with me...

I won't believe the lie that this somehow makes me a bad father...I will refuse to believe it.

It definitely doesn't make you a bad father, so it's good you're not believing that you're not. My parents had bad times too, when I was growing up, but they were still good parents, and I still loved them, like I'm sure your kids do. And once you're past the lies, the next time that the kids are with you, you guys can all have fun together. Don't beat yourself up about the last two weeks, cause that probably won't help...

I like the new signature :-) Or perhaps you could try an elastic rope?

Thanks meander...

Besides it's not like those two weeks makes up are relationships...though divorced...I have my three kids three of the 7 days of the week...and when my x is in school even more often...

I've talked to them a little about the ups and downs...not like they didn't already catch on...for some reason I've always been fairly level with them ... meaning myself ... and how I react to them...I think it was because my father was so aggressive and would rant for hours...

Though I should be sleeping...something is on mind...can't figure it out...been sitting in limbo...suspect the lack of sleep may be indicating an upward movement...well the kids see their T tomorrow...T left a message reminding us...and indicated that if I needed any time we would fit it in around the boys...he is a really good T...I'm glad I made the change.
