No worries. I usually add my relaxation activities together on the list with my work activities. This time I just separated them out. Yes, I do sometimes make ambitious plans. I almost always get some portion of the plan done but not the whole thing. Still, I feel I’ve been productive and feel good about myself.

The list inspires me to do more than sit on the couch staring at the wall. Some is better than none. At my level? There are sooooo many days that I sit and do absolutely nothing...not even the basics like eating due to depression. This thread helps me with that.

I appreciate the thread and every one on it. You’ve helped me tremendously and I thank you.

I made it to my appointment. I'm having a very hard day. I'm not motivated to do anything but sleep. I don't even want to take my insulin but I will force myself.

Today I have bought a eight week online course with Christian Mindfulness. I hope I will be able to finish it! (I have planned to bring it with me on vacation later in the month).

Some of my goals for tomorrow:

- Up at 07:00
- Put the dishwasher to work when I have my breakfast
- Work on the Mindfulness lessons
- Prepare for confession
- Confession
- A cheap but tasteful dinner at a restaurant
- Grocery shop
- Rest a bit
- Do the 10 minutes relaxations before I turn to my "manage-anger-book"

Best wishes and hopes for each one of you!

Good idea and eight week isn’t that long. Let us know how the course goes.

Good wishes!

Please force yourself! Things can go really wrong, as you know, if you fail to take it. Don’t make us worry.

How do you enjoy the life coach? How did you find her/him? Recommended or search?

I’ve found the life coach to be helpful so far. My NP recommended an app called Wysa which is good in and of itself (particularly for cognitive behavior therapy) but if you want to go further or work on specific problems or goals you can connect with a life coach. The life coaches on the app have to have certain qualifications and experience. I love that it’s through my phone! That works best for me.

Yes, thanks! I took it late but I did take it. Sometimes it's just so hard. I try not to think about it too much. Good news is, I just take it once a day.

I feel a little more motivated today. I'm working on trying to get a shower. I'm having a hard time actually doing it. Hopefully soon. That's my main goal for today. Later I might unload the dishwasher and pick up after my cat. Hope everyone is doing well.

Today is trash day and I wasn’t able to get the trash to the curb. It’s only 1/2 full but still. I will try not to beat myself up over it. Low motivation today. Going to try to straighten the house, make more phone calls and run a few simple errands.

It’s like walking through waist high molasses. Must it constantly be a struggle?

Warm wishes to all.

Was able to get my shower. I told myself I was headed for the waterfalls and it would be glorious. Had to find some kind of motivation. Also, picked up after little miss J and unloaded the dishwasher. Will relax for the remainder of the day now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yes, eight weeks are not a quick fix! But usually that is what it takes to learn mindfulness properly (for everybody). I have had some ideas of what it is because I have read about it and heard about it here and there. My interest now is not to know this by picking up small bricks here and there and try to use those from time to time, but to do the entire job to learn it.

So far, I almost feel exhausted. I worked with the program 2 hours yesterday and two hours this morning.

I hope to be able to continue, especially because I am been given mindfulness without the Buddhist frame. That's OK for Buddhists, but I am not a Buddhist. So that is how it is.

Be well!

I think that some sort of online therapy/coaching can be a good solution for some people whom are able to work on things for themselves.

GOOD LUCK!

Yes, it can be heavy to live with a physical disorder that in worst case scenario can k**l you.

Please take care! You are worth it!

No, I think we need to take each day as it comes. Allow yourself to break out of the perfectionist's claw. (You have told us that you try to become less of a perfectionist). You are good enough the way you are!

Well, I did the first things on my list, included the confession. After that I ate something that probably made me sick, or may be it was the heat. Diabetics will in some way or other have problems with too much heat. I have rested for the rest of the day and feel OK enough with that.

The mindfulness program took a huge bite of my time this morning. I almost regretted that I had put my money into it. But I have bought it (the whole program), so I have to engage myself in it. The online teacher said it could be so the first four weeks, so in some way or other I have to motivate myself to continue ...

For Friday I have decided to take it easy and not do more than what is needed. I need a trip to the pharmacy and I need to unload the dishwasher. I need to call the electricity supplier (They have sent me a wrong bill). And I need to continue my Mindfulness lessons. But I WILL do them and give myself a pat on the back afterward!

Good wishes for all of you!

I painted this morning. It was really nice and relaxing. I have my next paint project planned out already. Also ordered groceries and cleaned litter boxes. Later I will load the dishwasher and pick up in the living room. I hope everyone is doing well.

The only things I have done today are calling the electricity supplier and continued with the Mindfulness lessons. It was more easy today, but parts of it were boring. I will do two of the exercises later this day; one of them right before bedtime.

Since I have enjoyed my sofa today, I will have to do some extra for tomorrow (Saturday) to keep my depression at a manageable state!

- Up at 07:00
- Mindfulness exercise after breakfast
- Shower
- Unload dishwasher
- Some food
- Walk 13 minutes x 2
- Visit grocery shop
- Rest a bit
- Put the washing machine to work ("bed-things")
- Do the bed
- Mindful exercise again + reading a chapter in the course book
- The day free to my own decisions ....

Be well all!
