It warmed my heart to read your good wish for me. I feel so down. Have an appointment with my therapist this week. I can see a small tiny ray of hope ...

Hope your vaccation will do you good!

Sunday was a weird day for me. I slept til noon then slowly started doing things. I was able to clean litter boxes, empty the trash, clean off surfaces and wash dishes. I think what wore me out was working on a computer problem all night. I couldn't sleep until it was resolved. Even the cats stayed up with me and then slept til noon. It was cute. Hope you are all doing well!

Oh, and today I plan to open packages, clean litter boxes and put clean sheets on the bed.

This morning has been busy. I got dressed, took care of the cats, took out the trash, opened packages and took my medicine. I'm exhausted. I still have to clean litter boxes, give a computer to my mom, finish taking my meds and find something to eat. I have little energy today. It's taking everything I have to brush my teeth and wash my face. I just want to sleep today. I don't even feel like playing my games.

I managed to wash dishes, tidy up in the bathroom, change the sheets on my bed and clean litter boxes. I also did a load of laundry. For the rest of the day I will take it easy, light duty. I'm hoping I can get a shower today. I need to think of a reward to motivate myself. Maybe some food from iHop. Hope you all are doing well.

Yesterday (Monday)I did some volunteer work. I was so tired afterward that I had to sleep afterward. Was able to make a healthy dinner.

Today I have eaten a healthy breakfast and will soon go for my walk (30 - 40 minutes). I will load the dishwasher, try to make a healthy dinner and prepare for therapy.

I feel better (more relaxed), but tired.

May you all be well!

I got my shower. I had a goal... and that was to take my cat to the vet. I also promised myself pancakes for breakfast and potato hash.

I ordered groceries this morning and put them away. I took care of the cats and put a cat tree together. I also cleaned off my kitchen table and the counters. I'm resting for the remainder of the day. Hope everyone is well.

I have been to the appointment with the GP. Took some bloodtests. I have been to the grocery shop and I have had my dinner. I will relax for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow (Friday) I will start with breakfast and then a walk for 20 - 30 minutes, - visit the grocery shop and decide the rest of the day afterward.

A good day to each one of you!

I spent most of the evening opening packages. I had things for the cats so I set that stuff up as well. Just fed them breakfast and now I need a break. I'll take a short one cause I have more boxes to open. Hopefully I will put a cat tree together today. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Friday!

I woke up this morning with a headache. I dropped healthy breakfast and the walking. Have felt sleepy all day long. Took a pain killer at last. It has been too hot here as well!

I have come to the conclusion that I shall not put up the walking for tomorrow. Instead I will try to vacuum after breakfast and to do the dusting. (It needs to be cleaned). I will have to go to the grocery shop.

Best of luck to each one of you!

I must have wore myself out. I've been sleeping all day. I did empty the trash and tidy up a bit. I haven't cleaned litter boxes. Maybe tonight. I've been a little sad. Good news is the cats have been sleeping with me. That's a comfort.

Some thoughts: We have all been there when the depression was so deep that it felt almost impossible to get out of the bed. We have overcome it, but found out (experienced) that the depression is of a chronic character, more or less. It is impossible to get rid of it totally.

As far as I have understood (scientific articles I have come over), half of those depressed for the first time will have a new episode. With this new episode the risks for another episode increases and after the third episode, .... well!

There are (as far as I know) two important ways to reduce the risk for relapse. One is to take the time to know ones triggers (inside and outside). The second is to use structure in the day.

I should have wished that all people recovering from their first episode knew these two effective ways of preventing a relapse. We cannot run away from our depressions (and sometimes all our efforts to prevent fails). The risk is there always, also when we are on vacation.

That's why it can be important to use structure of the day, not only at home, but at vacation as well! (It is important to accept that so it is, and to learn so much self trust that one is able to say: "Yes, the risk is there, but I can manage with all the tools I have learned on my way").

Sorry for the long input. It helped me to write it. Hope it can be of help for you too and for all who read it!

Good wishes for you in the wedding and for the rest of your vacation!
