Lately nothing I do seems to work out or go right.
I've recently left my job as I was so stressed out and anxious there (even though its not that busy a job) I just got so lonely in an office where I was pretty much by myself. I can't seem to be cheery when i'm out and about and that affects my partner... Sometimes no matter how I try I just get anxious and want to leave. Even when I job search most of the time i'm too nervous to go to interviews. I've tried diff medications and nothing is seeming to work lately... Its time to change but then i'll have to go through side effects again. How can things go back to being so bad after I felt recovered 6 months ago? ![]() |

Hello (((NICOLE))). I am sorry that you are struggling at this time. I hope you will call your therapist and Psych Dr and let them know how you are feeling so they can help you with a med change if needed. Unfortunately the winter months can be more severe for mental health than the warmer months, and many need to have meds adjusted to feel more stable during the colder months. I hope things get better for you soon Nicole, Take care. PM anytime. soidhonia

(((((Nicole))))) when it rains it pours doesn't it. How much easier would life be if there was one fire to deal with at a time.
Don't be hard on yourself for something that is beyond your control! Depression is like any other disease, we didn't choose to have it and it's very difficult to deal with our partners to deal with sometimes. I know that the path to the right medication combo can be long and frustrating, don't give up, the right one is out there and it might be the next one you try! Just be open and honest with your doctor so that you'll be able to find the right one(s). Soidhnia is right, the winter months can be very taxing on people suffering from depression. It's not your fault!

If things aren't going well I think it's easy to unrecover. Sorry you had a job where you were pretty much the only one there (But taking a job with lots of people is too much! Been there, done all that). I learned I didn't do well in a situation with only a couple people, especially if it was in someone's home/basement! I remember how much trouble it was to try and get out of that job without offending the other person. Very stressful being there.
Do you journal or read or have any interests/hobbies? I get comfort out of thinking up new things to try or ideas or just daydreaming; of course then I get stuck in the daydream instead of going out and "doing" whatever and that can be pretty depressing to realize. . .
