I am so upset and depressed. I had so much to pay and buy so much medicine that now I am broke and it's only the 2nd week of May. After feeling so good in a long time , the dark cloud is coming in soon. I see my pdoc on Wed and I'm going to have to tell them I have no money to pay my bill. It is so embarassing and humiliating. I feel like I'm 1 inch tall. The price of drugs has really gone up and lamictal is going generic so the docs aren't getting samples for that. When I feel this way I just want to crawl in a cave and never come out. Gas is outrageous. What is America coming too. There are so many people out there that are in worse shape than I am in. I cry for them too. Tell me someone how do I handle this crisis and the depression that comes w/it. I really hate myself and I always will./...........pj56........

I have had a lot of money problems so I completely understand where you are coming from, though I am not sure how to help you feel better.

I completely understand what you are talking about. I have money problems too. One thing I always do....make sure I take a little and put it aside...just in case. I don't care how many bills I have and how much is owed, you gotta have something for the times when you need gas or food if you run out.
Bills will be there...no matter what. I talk to my T and she lets me do a sliding scale if I can't pay the full Co-pay. She lets me pay whatever I can that day. I don't do it too much because I feel bad about it, but sometimes when I need money for gas to get to work, she will work with me.

As for the depression that goes along with it...I just TRY to remember that there isn't anything I can do about it right now and I will just do what I can and that is all I can do.

You are not going to die if the bills aren't paid, right? I mean, the dang bill collectors will still be there because they want to get paid.

My sister got to a point once that she filed for bankruptcy. I don't know if that is an option for you, but it relieved a lot off of her.

I don't know how much help I was, but wanted you to know that you aren't alone in feeling the way you do.

does anyone have money problems? does anyone have money problems? does anyone have money problems? does anyone have money problems? does anyone have money problems?

I have money problems too. It makes me sad. I was told, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Seems to be true.

I am feeling depressed today because I am broke and I hate it. I spent $85 yesterday for my son's psychiatrist, $100 at the pharmacy and another $100 at the grocery store and we still don't have much to eat. I didn't have enough to buy horse feed but at least there is a lot of spring grass in my extra field. I really wish I could go back to work.

I know how you feel. I am on disabilty and had to fork out $400 yesterday for meds. Then $20 co pay weekly for T, then $30 co pay monthly for P Doc.

It adds up pretty quick, doesn't it?

Yes, and I shouldn't, but I do. Gas prices so high, even with my good mileage on my Subaru I'm still paying over $40-$50 to fill up.

Meds cost me $150 a month now, plus $200 or so for therapy copays.

We were in perfect shape financially last year...but now...not so great.

Oh...and I do have impulsive spending habits occasionally. One reason why I keep thinking Bipolar. I just spend and don't realize how much I spent until weeks later, and I rarely have much to show for it.

My medical insurance at my new job doesn't kick in until July so meantime I'm stuck paying $600 a month for meds and $150 a week for my T. I'm lucky I can afford it, but it means I don't have much money to spend on anything else.
