I'm feeling a bit better today, not 100%. My bf helped lift my mood last night.

My wrist hurts today and not sure why. Maybe I slept on it funny?

I use to always get aches in my wrists even though I didn't SH. My psychiatrist told me that it could be phantom pains from my wrists being held. Even though I never thought that it hurt.

I don't know it's weird, when ever I get depressed it happens.

Maybe bad circulation, but it's almost always in my left wrist.

Weird huh... I feel like I am slipping....

Could the wrist pain be part of a body memory? I get pains in my wrists and ankles when I recall being tied up as a child. Just a thought anyway.

Sundance, I may be reading what happened to me into your comment about the wrist pain concurrent with depression, but you might want to see a rheumatollogist.

For years and years, I felt as if my body was falling apart. Aches in knees, especially my neck and shoulders. Then very bad headaches. Unable to go outside in the heat (I lwas living in Florida). I don't mean being hot as everyone is -- I mean collapsing. I was a swimmer, and my shoulder was diagnosed as a strained rotator cuff and I had to stop.

Then I started losing weight without changing my diet -- in the middle of menopause, when most women gain weight.

Physicians blew me off -- just another crankly middle-aged woman.

Finally I got a good physician -- test after test, and now I have a diagnosiks of lupus. It causes both these so called "ohantom aches" and depression.

IIt cam be difficult to diagnose because its is a grabbag of symptoms that show up differently in different people, but it's better to know I have this one thing wrong with me than to feel that I'm falling apart for no apparent reason.

Anyway, it's just a thought.

I have gone through blood work many times and all my tests came out fine.

I use to SH too, so maybe i'm just assuming the worse and have felt that way for a long time. Even at a young age i'd have the pains in my veins. Not the actual wrist though.

I guess if it continues then i'd likely bring it up to my psychiatrist and do whatever from there. She'll likely make me do more blood work etc.

It's rare that they bother me, like I said only when i'm really down....

I don't know.

It could be, don't know though.

I was pinned before , a few times by the ex, but I don't recall it hurting...it could have though.

Don't know.

I went to my session.

Aparently my SAD (seasonal affective disorder) is going to kick in early this year due to this crappy weather.

I noticed the days are shorter, which is weird for me because it's only august, that means I'm not getting enough sunlight etc.

The weather this summer has been crappy, might have to start up my light box in 2 weeks.

I feel like I am slipping....

Sundance,
Does the light box really help? I get so slammed in the winter months and I too have noticed that the days have been getting shorter and the weather cooler. Honestly it has been causing me a lot of anxiety because I know that summer is almost over. Any advice?

Jessica, I have a light box, and find that when I remember to use it regularly, it really helps a lot. They are expensive, but I have been told that sometimes insurance will cover some of the cost.

IT does help, but with me I don't use it enough which is my own down fall, the trick is to keep using it every morning, the earlier the better, but with me I use it one day here, one day there, sometimes I miss it months at a time so it doesn't work .. it takes up to a couple weeks to actually kick in.

With this weather here in Ontario alot of people with Seasonal Affective Disorder are having trouble early on.

The best thing to do is when it's sunny out go outside get as much sun as you can.

I got my light box about 8 years ago and they aren't cheap at all. But they do definatly help. It's like having sun in your face without the UV....

I'm sorry you are stressed. I wish we could just snap our fingers and make it better. Do your best to stay in the present and nurture you. Maybe baths and tea? Be well.

It's up and down, right now it's a bit up because the sun is out and it's suppose to be hot today.

I'm feeling ok. Not great, but not terrible.
