I've been dealing with depression and anxiety for so long I've lost myself somewhere along the way. I don't know what I like anymore. I don't know what would bring me pleasure. I don't know what it feels like to smile and laugh. I miss those things. I guess I don't even know who I am. I don't even know why I'm writing this. I just feel so alone and lost. Does that make any sense?

I can completely relate to not knowing who you are or what would give you pleasure. I feel that too.

I'm sorry you feel that way and I hope you find yourself.

i hope you will keep searching and never give up.. i know this sounds like one of those 'just think positive' replies... when there is little else to hang onto, hang onto hope and believe that we each do have a reason for being here tho at times it is very hard to imagine... strive for the person you want to become... it is not as easy said as done, but you can do it...

Thank you Blue Roses. I can relate to the wandering around. I do that too. Just don't know what to do with myself sometimes.

I can relate to this also.

I was like that for awhile, until someone - a blast from the past - saw me, hardly recognizing my demeanor, and was quite forthright about the condition they saw me in ... sad, lost-like, depressed, under-whelmed.

He said, I remember 'thus and so' and when you did 'this-n-that', and remember when we went 'here-n-there' like nothing could stop us back then from enjoying life!

Well, I figured part of my rebounding back to embracing life was a real job -
one where I let go of the burdens and regrets and anguish I carried -
and replace these with the curiosity and drive to experience things and find what I enjoy to do 'in the now' of my life, and grow up just enough to do this for my own mental health.

just thoughts, hope something helps.

peace and hopefully, a vision of how it will get better
night

Just so lost

Thanks, muffy, hopefully in time it will pass.

Outside does help. Just breathing helps. Focusing on it. ((((muffy)))))
