Diagnosed first with MPD in 1993, then with DID in 1996, great therapist worked with me on integrating the others. Last time I clearly remember splitting was 2000???2001??? The last few months have been extremely stressful and I'm having a lot of lost time-I'm so scared. I feel like everything I've worked so hard for is slipping away. Intrusive thoughts of self harm, urges to cut, the chattering in my head. Can't balance the stress. HELP PLEASE

Alikat,

Yes you will find a lot of support here but do get back to your T as soon as you can.

You are not losing it. I don't know much about integration....I'm sorry... but I hope you can get back to the T that helped in the first place.

It seems you really trusted him/her.

Take care.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I'm seeing the same T again, but different issues. I'm stressed at the thought of going back into that Pandora's box. The Others and I had agreed to leave some things alone to give us some respite. It is starting to make me very physically ill just thinking about what delving into all of this again means=(

Welcome to the forums! I hope you find the support you need here & at your T's. Not much I could say that would help. I understand what you are going thru.
Take care.
Love,

alikat,

you don't have to delve into Pandora's box right now. you said you have a good therapist and if they were helpful in getting you to where you were before these latest stressors then I believe this T will be right there for you again through this next phase.

I'd be scared too after so many years! You all are wise to leave some things alone to take care of the body. I like the idea that you are able to work with Others. That helps so much. A lot of people here don't yet have that inner ability.

Take care. Use the resources available to you all. You've gotten through a lot of this work before so you can again. There are folks here who will understand or at least offer a listening ear and some reading eyes.

kindly,
