if I ask people if I am piece of poo I am scared someone might say yes. The second is that I have longstanding scripts that tell me that to say (or encourage others to say) anything positive about me is boasting, showing off, being needy and generally a BAD THING to do. Although I encourage my pupils and my own children to be proud of their achievements, to recognise their own good points, it is a very difficult place for me to go for myself.

the thoughts run through my head that you are irritated by me, that people will think i am trying to get attention.

I can identify with that. I'm always worried that people will find me annoying or won't like me or don't like me and only let me stay around them because they are scared of me, which sounds really stupid like that, but it's how I feel. So...no I really don't think you made it worse, since I could really understand it enough that I felt it myself. And the positivity thing...I think that's something that most people at PC have a problem with. Just let other people be positive for you sometimes and just focus on accepting that what they say is true. That's often hard enough. Don't try to do too much at once. Just try, because it's all you can do, and I'm proud that you're trying, because I know how hard trying is.

We can support each other then. You are really good at making me feel better about myself, and I will try to show you that I don't find you scary, annoying or unlikeable.
Thank you for your comments. I appreciate them.

Thank you for your comments too. I like how you always say the right things...lol, we can just be really nice to each other then, just to try and make the other feel better, and who knows, maybe it'll work.
