Yes, a lot I guess. And then there are some who are not.

On a typical day how much time would you spend alone?

that depends on the context of the question

mentally, none- because i'm with all the others who constantly talk and make things difficult for me

in reality (like my physical body) all day, unless someone comes to visit (extremely rare)

have you done something this month that you are proud of?

Yes! We had a major life event..and a very triggering one at that..and well still standing Some days barely, but we haven't fallen completely to shambles..yet ..integration still on a slow but steady course... getting to the Big issues not looking forward too tho..it's always the same place we break apart again..hoping for better outcome this time around!

Here's a random one...Any fan of the Movie Memento here?
(I think it's an interesting take on dissociative issues...) what do others think about it?

Wait, you mean McDonald's has stuff other than Happy Meal's???? Someone is gonna pay for not telling me...

Question: Since when has McDonald's started serving other things than Happy Meals?

(j/k for fun. No littles were hurt in the making of this post)

yes.

we should probably add (refering to the posts about mcdonalds posts), that in england- they've started replacing the toys in happy meals with books.

not sure what we feel about that. ruining a classic, I think.

how much sleep did you manage to get last night

Books? Hmmmm...

About 8 hours I guess? I didn't have to get up for work today so stayed in bed until 10 am.

When did you last cry?

Tough guys don't cry. Wouldn't do it in front of the host anyway.

Do you keep yourself preoccupied to make yourselves forget for a moment you have D.I.D?

That is true, sometimes guys who identify as being 'tough' don't allow themselves to cry.

No, not intentionally. I / we do often forget though when we are immersed in a particular role.

What makes you laugh?

I don't know

what ever the point, it can't be a good one.

it's 1 of those ever asked questions.. what is the point to life?

perhaps it's just to do the best you can with the time you have- but even then life is eventually taken away from you, so who knows..

hmm. tricky one that.

do you like hearing jokes?

Yes, I do. I rarely remember them, but I do like hearing them and telling them when I can remember.

Do you watch TV or is it too triggering?

Funny you folks should mention that, we haven't turned our TV on for about two months now. (Which suits us) We don't trigger from it fortunately.

Does your system live with the uncertainty of not knowing when some of your alters developed?

Yes. I'd say we only know the 'creation stories' of some of them. We kinda know when the fragment parts developed, because they were / are frozen in whatever traumatic event created them. We don't really know about most of the more prominent ones though.

If you could go back to any one point in your life, what would it be and why?

I wanted to answer this one, so:

yes, I watch TV. the 2 types of shows i usually avoid are those that have ghosts/ demons/ what ever else in them, or where the person has a severe mental health issue themselves

or shows that involve young babies and moms and dads- like pregnancy shows, or shows that involve adoption, something like that.

I can't bare to think of all those mommies and daddies treating their kids with respect, and love, why i was treated like utter ****

I wouldn't want to go back to any of it, because, well, it all sucked- maybe going back to a time before mental health would be nice, so I can live 1 more day of normality. but I don't know.

let's ask it the other way round.. if their was 1 thing you'd want to know about your future, what is it you'd want to know?
Thanks for this!

I don't know that program sorry.

Are you friends in real life with any others who have a dissociative disorder? (If not, have you ever met anyone who had one?)

No and yes. I don't have any friends except my wife but met a girl on the internet on a DID channel on ICQ (anyone remember ICQ?) and we met decades ago and spent a good deal of time together after that.

When was the last time you had a major 'ah-ha' moment with your DID and what was it?

For me, I just realized that I am not the original a week ago. I had never considered the possibility before a week ago and the moment I asked myself I pretty much knew.

I remember something about ICQ.
The last major aha moment was a few days ago... I realized the reason I could not stick up for myself in the current work situation (well, more 'own' the experience of my dissociated selves) was because I still do not own their experiences with past abuse. I knew there was a block as I could not bring myself to verify their experiences - but something prevented me from being able to do it - and I didn't know what it was. Now I know.
So I realized I have some work to do around that.

How long have you been in therapy all up?
