please help... T and integration..... may trigger..

This post is about T... inisting on integration work.. so may be triggering... would like opinions.. and some help please if you can...



















so.. my T and I have had a serious disconnect... because one of my alters.. said "you are full of crap"... and he asked us to leave...

for past 3 sessions... have tried to get past this... and.. well... we can't...

so... today.. I told therapist... that 3 alters would be willing to work with him...

he wanted to know.. why they would not work on intergration.. because that is the work he wants us to do..

and the answer is because.. he is not "safe" anymore.. the office is not safe anymore..

We cannot risk integration... because we need to keep all of us safe...and the only way to do that is to keep these 3 main alters.. they protect us.. and keep us going...

and.. we do not see integration as the "end all"...

and he is unwilling to do any other type of work.. except integration work...

so... I guess... we need to quit...

and we are wondering if we will survive... with no T... because there is no way... we are searching for another... it has been too many years... too many therapists... and we are just done... if this doesn't work... we just do not.. want to try anymore...

could it hurt... more than this????? owie... owie.. owie....

I am sorry you are hurting so much.

I think you are aware that you need therapy but perhaps not with the current therapist that you have now.

It is possible and acceptable to live seperately. Integration is not everything. And I am living proof that it is possible to be many without the full integration.
