I dont know why, but i have these episodes of binging on sweet treats...sometimes chewing and spitting out the food. Aftwerwards I just want to die. I wish I had a gag reflex, then i would have the problem solved. Any ideas on what to do? (i would normally exercise my life away, but i am at work and have no way of doing that!)

You can get through an awful lot of food when you chew up and spit it out. You will ruin your teeth this way.

I've known women who did this and ended up with dentures as their enamel was worn away with all the chewing.

Take my advice and don't buy in all those sweets. Keep temptation at bay.

Do you think its also emerging from an emotional problem? If so, I'd start with addressing that. Whether or not it is emotional or not, I would start to find a support system that you can "come out" to about this issue whether it be counselor, friend, husband, friend, clergy.

I admit there are some emotional attachments, but in the end it all comes down to just trying to be thinner...and if that means just licking the icing off donuts and chewing cookies and spitting them out, then that is what i do. I want this cycle to end, but cant seem to find a way to do it. I stop binging and start abusing laxatives. I am currently doing 120 minutes of cardio a day...it never ends! I see a counseler, but it is hard because everything always get thrown back on me...and i dont have the answers....any ideas

I have found that when I start binging on sweets its because I have deprived myself of them so one my sugar level is down so my body goes into a craving for it and also by depriving myself of it makes me want it more so instead of saying ok Im not going to have sweets I have my sweets. I am on a diabetic diet that allows for a few sweets a day. Now I don't bing on sweets because it is no longer a forbidden thing and my body does not go into low sugar level so crave it mode.
