Hi Rissie tired of fighting

I'm not the brightest person on the planet when it comes to giving advice so sorry if I'm not much help here!

Maybe you have a friend you could go jogging with? Or maybe you could try stuff like swimming, horse-riding etc....stuff that burns calories but keeps your muscles strong too.

I know I'm not much help but you hang on in there yeah? tired of fighting

The best advice I can give you is also a very difficult task- be patient. I am happy to hear that you are eating healthfully, like you said, thats the best way to lose weight and keep it off. The reason you have gained two lbs is probably this- 1. Since you have been starving yourself, your metabolism is running very, very slowly. Sometimes it takes a few days or so for it to return back to a normal speed, and 2. Often when you are restricting, your digestive system gets all out of whack and tends to hoard any food it receives. This is basically due to our natural instincts; you body believes you are in a famine, yet wants to keep you alive, so any food it receives it will keep for awhile in case the "famine" comes back. So again, try your best to give it time. The damage done to a body through restricting can be pretty severe, so it takes awhile for it to work normally again.
Two things you can do to help:
1. Drink lots of water to aid in digestion
2. Give some light exercise a try (just don't overdo it). It'll boost metabolism, even just by going for a walk.
Hope this is helpful!!

I feel like this almost every day. It's hard when everything is so difficult, and everything hurts.
Have you tried negative calorie foods at all?

Foods that burn more calories then they actually are when you eat them. You should try eating more of those.

Rissie, drink lots of water, so Important. Exercise too. I hate

winter so I haven't been able to get out and Walk. But in the

spring, summer and most of the fall. I walk twice a day, and I

I usually drop like 10 pds.

I don't eat meat, fats or sweets, no sodas, or sugar. I know

sounds boring. But there are other alternatives to processed

sugar products. If you get a sweet tooth craving try Kashi

products they are really good for a snack. Lots of veggies to.

Heart disease runs on my side of the family along with Cancer

so I do everything I can about it......But maybe this will help?

I hope soo...Keep fighting the the ED you can do it!!!

Good Luck.....ziggy... tired of fighting

I have been an over eater for years. The depression I suffered was so overwhelming, I turned to food. Now that I have dealth with the depression I am still stuggling to work out the food! I have found a website that you can put in everything you east, every exersize you do and it shows you if your diet has enough protien or if your exercise is burning enough calories...I was having a 1500 a day calorie diet...but it was mostly fat! It really showed me some serious flaws in my eating plan, here is the website, you may find some intersting information about your eating as you fill it out. http://www.fitday.com/
the website is free. Good luck to you.

Rissie,

I dropped some wieght by:

A. Finding the hidden sugar in the foods I was eating--check the labels for the carbs--you might be surprised where and how much you find.

B: I either cut the high carb foods completley (i.e. no McDondalds fries!!) or substituted low carb foods for them

C: Started a simple excersize routine

Don't expect overnight results-the main thing is to find something that works for you and stick to it.

You should start seeing some results in a few weeks---Don't overdo it though, talk to you parents and check some of the links offered up in the other replies. There's tons of info out there that will help you do it properly.

Best of luck
