I was wondering, for each of you, did your eating disorder come about fast or was it like a slow process? Did it take over right away? Did you have control of it at first? Could you feel it turning into something big but couldn't stop it? I'm just wondering because i have some food problems but not a diagnosed ED.

I have "food problems" as well... but no diagnosed ED, because I never really stick to a destructive pattern (I have long periods of days/weeks/months of 'normalcy').

I think it's a slow process, it's very hard to just wake up one morning and "have" an eating disorder.
