I worry about falling into a trap.
When I try to recover, I inevitably end up taking a few steps back.
School is edging to start and as I try to reduce my b/p cycles, I worry that they will increase in number or severity as they have in the past.
It seems that when I give more attention to my bulimia symptoms, even in an attempt to recover, the worse they get.

I wonder if I should push off recovery and stay as I am, at least until the stress of entering into a new semester of school is over.

hey ash,
i think sticking to recovery is important, you should never let go of that... its just as important as school. both are stressfull but just remember to take it a day at a time. i have the same issue as you with having more b/p cycles when school is around, but just do your best to stay strong with recovery, if you can't keep up with both, be easy on yourself and give your mind a rest. stop thinking about school and food for a day. take a long hot bath or go for a walk. do things to keep your mind off of the pressures of school and food, and maybe after a while of practising that, you'll think about the two subjecs less, and you'll be able to get that much closer to recovery.
never give up the fight, you'll win. take care

Recovery is important. If you don't mind me asking, are you in high school, college? Because if you have someone at the school that you could run too in a time of need (and i am not talking about another student) maybe the pattern will slow. I see b/p as a comfort ritual, but thats my own cycle. my "special buddy" is my husbend and he has been really great when I feel that perticular urge comming on. He is someone that i can eat with, he makes sure that its enough that I am getting the right things, so that i don't feel the need to purge later. He can't be around all the time, I'm not sure anyone can. But hes a rock I can hold on to when rock water hits. Sorry about the bad pun ;p but keep your head up you'll do alright. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?
