Potato, try plain water with electrolytes. Trader Joe's sells them for less than name brands. I buy by the case. Electrolytes make water much more palatable. I cannot stand plain regular water unless I am exercising and really thirsty, but I like the flavor of water with electrolytes.

I did 3 sets of Australian exercises and some calf stretches today. I will now work on my paper due in class tomorrow, and if there is time left in the evening, I will go for a walk while wearing a weighted vest.

I submitted my final paper and all I have left from the assignments in class is a small write-up that I will complete tomorrow. I didn't have time to walk today, as I was busy writing and editing, but tomorrow I will walk to the local farmer's market which comes on Sundays, and buy my favorite apples, the Gravenstein variety, which is local to NoCal and has a short season. Major grocery stores do not carry Gravensteins, but I am sure I will find the at the farmer's market. And some other goodies, too.

There is a pop up farmers market near me today as well. I plan to go and find some fresh fruit today.

I didn't have the energy to workout today. My sister was impressed by my work out equimpent. Most of which I got at 5 Below or as gifts.

Food wise I did ok. I had a few yogurts, 2 pieces of pizza and some other stuff.

My carbs and, cholestrol, are less then last week and my protein is higher then last week. My sugar intake is less too which never happens. I was only up 4% more in sodium.

Calorie wise I only ate 1% then last week. But I guess it was at least somewhat decent stuff.

I overslept and missed the pop-up farmer's market.

I went for a 30 minute walk in the evening, but forgot to put on the weighted vest. Still, it is the first intentional walk since the stress fracture dx.

6k steps today.

6K steps in a day is pretty good going Tart Cherry Jam! Now I have to use my Apple Watch to check out my steps but mine is just incidental walking around the school. So no biggie.

I have to go to a BBQ today for Labor Day. What am I eating to stay in my calorie deficit? I eat like 1000-1200 a day. I know I need to stay away from the hot dog and hamburger buns. Haha. Was thinking I will stick to the grilled chicken or if I want a cheeseburger I’ll just have one and load up on the green salad offering.

Its not just food noise that the glp1 removes, its food anxiety. I think i "inherited" a LOT of food anxiety / insecurity from my parents, who were very poor in italy as children and young adults.

I binge-watched an italian detective show this week on pbs/prime, and i was surprised at how the language just washed over me. The turns of phrases reverberated in my head. I was like, i dont recall my parents using such sophisticated language, how can this be so familiar to me? I believe the glp1 is holding back the food noise / anxiety in kind of the same if opposite way, if that makes sense!

Una it definitely makes sense. My grandparents on both sides of the family (RIP) were straight off the boat and they were very poor as was my father. He lived on the streets during his young adult days.

Personal training, some incidental walking (3500 steps), Kegels, calf stretches today. I thought I would have time for an evening walk, but my disability paperwork took so long and now I need to go to bed.

I asked ChatGPT to critque me and they said I look decently in shape and not underweight but not terribly overweight. In one picture they said my shirt was loose around the weight but in another picture they said it was fine. They said my jeans are too long. I'm already at a 30 length.

They said I look comfortable my own skin.

I need to get rid of these Doritos though.

Nice 5k in light rain this morning, just to keep the legs ticking over and that’s the last run before Sunday’s event. I’m looking forward to it and a bit nervous/excited too- just hoping it isn’t too hot.

Going to be careful with my food intake for the next 4 days but pretty much got it planned out in my head. Low fibre, and decent protein/carbs is the broad aim.

I liked running in light rail when I was a child/teen and still ran.

Good like preparing for the big event. The food plan sounds perfect for between now and the date.

Some walking today, both incidentsl and purposeful. Purposeful was brisk, in zone 2, and incidentsl was in zone 1. Almost 8k steps.

Kegels and some calf stretches, though not enough.

Tomorrow is my walking in warm water evening! I have not done that in several weeks and much look forward to it.

Lost 2kg in a day from gastro. Not the best way to lose weight. I know it’s water weight from being sick and once I’m better it will all come back, unfortunately.

Remembered to inject my ozempic this morning although I couldn’t recall which side I’m meant to be injecting into. Let’s hope it was my left side indeed because I vaguely recall injecting my right side last week.
Thanks for this!

I was a few pounds less today. I treated myself to a sweet tea from Raising Canes instead of Dunkin Donuts

Im a good girl i write down on the little box where i do my injection. I store my boxes in a very safe place - so now i cant find them! At least i know where the current one is - in the fridge.

I should totally write it down by I rely on memory. Ughhhhhhh. It’s the first time I’ve been confused as to where to inject. I wonder what happens if you inject the same side.

I read your posts and realized that on Tuesday, I forgot to inject Ozempic. I better inject now.

Today: 40 minutes of brisk walking on land and 60 minutes of leisurely walking in water, mostly sideways but slow backwards and forwards. So tired now. Still need to do calf stretches.

Not much exercise at all the last couple of days but did some gentle yoga tonight which helped centre me. I just realised I’ve got two sets of Australian exercises to do too!

I read that the skin toughens up or something if you keep injecting in the same spot, and then maybe would not absorb as well. But it sounded like that would take multiple injections, so i dont think twice or so is a problem at all.

Im getting into this weekly rhythm. Its a chance to start over, take better aim at your goals. Also its easier for me to do certain chores with this reduced weight.

Almost 12k steps today and my feet ache, even though I did calf stretches. I have made an appointment to see the podiatrist again in a month and will call his office to see if there are cancellations allowing me to be seen sooner

I did not walk for exercise today. I had appointments that involved walking and I had a major laundry chore day: besides 4 wash loads and 3 dry loads in the laundry room in our complex, I drove to a large Laundromat and washed and dried my duvet, comforter, bedding and mattress pad. It was a lot of work. I will rub Voltarn into my feet and ankles before bed tonight.

PS Oura captured 2 hrs 35 minutes of walking today! From the parking lot to a medical office, from there to the adjacent hospital, back to the parking lot, walked inside the parking garage because I forgot where I had parked, and the rest all laundry-related. I keep thinking how many long days it would have taken me to prewash, wash, rinse, wring out and hang dry this massive amount of laundry in the pre-laubdry technology days. Clearly we are lucky to have appliances and electricity that powers them.

Oh that is so true re laundry/housework. My nanna (dad’s mother) had big arms and it’s no wonder. She was born in 1901 and wash day in her mothering days (she had 7 children!) was a massive poss tub (big barrel) and a poss stick which they used to ‘agitate’ the laundry. Not even rubber gloves to protect the hands. Then the clothes went through a mangle to squeeze the excess water - my uncle got a crushed finger as a child when he caught it in the mechanism! What would nanna have made of our exercise routines today? She must’ve been exhausted at the end of every day with all that work. Then she’d go to her job at a factory in the evening while her husband minded the children.

I’m writing this early morning while I have a coffee listening to my automatic washing machine coming to the end of its cycle, then all I have to do is put it on the line outside.

Good morning, I’m up and having some quiet time before we head out to travel to the half marathon start line in a couple of hours. I think I’m going to have some toast, some water and a banana, I’m going to take jelly beans with me to the start line. All my kit is sorted and just got to have faith in the training. It’ll be okay, I’ve got this.
