I feel so great after the pool workouts! And the atmosphere there is incredibly cheerful: lots of kids playing in the pool and adults chatting around it while they wait for their children. I felt as if at a big party.

Since I came home, I have done two sets of Kegels and am now going to bed.
Thanks for this!

Did a 6 mi jog in light rain this morning. It kept stopping and starting and got the sidewalks & roads slick, so I had to be careful not to fall. I have almost a paranoia that I will fall running or power walking. Well, I guess it's not paranoia since it really has happened to me 5 or 6 times now and once I shattered my pelvis and another time chipped a tooth and got so many scrapes not to mention cracking my cellphones so they no longer worked. Jogging in the rain is not my favorite thing, and I was annoyed at the weather forecast which gave less than a 10% chance of rain this morning and didn't show any rain on the radar, but it was still raining! Of course, once I came in, the rain completely stopped 5 min. later. Murphy's law.

My doctor told me to stick to stuff thats easy on my stomach. So I had pretzels, rice crackers, and a protein shake. My mom says my knee will get better if I lose weight.

I've gained a few pounds since getting off topamax but I feel so much better mental health wise without it that I feel like its worth the 6 pounds.

Orangetheory fitness and personal training today. This is because it is almost the end of the month and I needed to schedule Orangetheory before the month expires (I get 4 sessions a month). I had not gone in a way and that created the situation when I needed to essentially double-book myself. I took a nap after Orangetheory and before personal training, but still, I think I overdid it, because in the evening I got a migraine attack with nausea. Medications worked to abort it. I am doing fine now and am about to go to bed.

Oura shows 2 hrs of activity time today and almost 9K steps. Some of the step count came from doing laundry in the evening.

I’ve come down with a head cold and feeling grotty so my rest days are extended until feeling better. Was feeling so yuck I took a covid test but it’s negative so likely just a summer cold virus. It’s annoying because it’s going to set my training back but on the upside my husband and son have sponsored me so my fundraising is looking very good.

ChatGP just told me I look 50 pounds less then I actually am. Thats good but my doctor wants me to lose 50 pounds. So I hope I don't look like a skeleton.

I'm just letting things go on their own

I went to the gym today, aiming for a long session of low-intensity cardio on a mix of machines. However, I forgot my water bottle. I spent only 30 minutes, with 15 minutes on the rower and 15 minutes on the recumbent bike. After that, I became uncomfortable without water and returned home.

Rowing was a breeze after one of the trainers explained to me that to mimic rowing on water, I should set the resistance to 4. In the past, I always set the resistance to 10 (max). He said that this would be like rowing upstream on a river.

At home, I engaged in laborious food prep and cooking and cleaning while wearing the 12-lb vest. Oura thinks this is all exercise (walking) and tells me that I spent 1 hr 24 minutes being active today. So it counts those minutes of kitchen activities as a workout. I do not know whether I should believe it.

Did Kegels twice.

What is this kegal app I’ve heard some people mention? I feel like I’m missing out and should probably be doing kegal exercises too. It’s good for you I believe.

@Discombobulated - I hope you feel better soon! @Tart Cherry Jam - It's hard to workout with a water bottle, and I found this especially true back when I belonged to a gym.

As for me, yesterday I did a long jog, 8.5 mi, so today I did a gentle pilates video. The video is pretty easy until the end, where there is a killer arm segment. As long as I've been using this series, the arm segment still hasn't gotten easier!

I stretched, walked from the parking lot to the farmer's market and back, and went to the gym for slightly over 40 minutes on the Expresso upright stationary bike, which has a huge computer screen and provides simulated rides. I did two such rides: Alpine Splash and Catacombs. I really liked the graphics in the Catacombs ride and will definitely repeat it! I covered 6.5 miles total.

Did Kegels once and might do them one more time before going to bed.
