When the old tapes play I will ask myself:

1) Is it true?
2) Can I absolutely know that it's true?
3) How do I react, what happens, when I believe that thought?
4) Who would I be without the thought?

What is the turnaround to this thought?

Today-- i will tell myself- remind myself of the simple saying- remind myself that I can only control myself and no one else- remind myself that it is ok to accept emotions, and to let them pass... remind myself I do not deserve to suffer even though that may be how some people believe i should live... remind myself that I am an ok person for not wanting to suffer, remind myself that it is ok to be happy even when others are not- and to still wish them well to be as best as they can

To go to sleep so I can go back to work later!

and today I will remind myself-- tell myself-- everyone does go away in the end-- but as well as good old Dr. Seuss himself said "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." though this is very rough to smile about... i don't think any smiling is coming here any time soon.... but that is ok- allow sadness to come and pass..

people make fun of, bash, talk crap about what they do not understand.....crap happens humans never seem to learn compassion, don't let these ignorant people get to you or bring you down

That I can do what I need to for the greater good of myself and my family, even if it means not being there for some small things. I have the weekend off work to spend with my family, and the paycheck I will get to miss the small thing is more than worth it. Have to pay the bills! And I love my job. =)

I did my best to have my thoughts and pov heard. Funny, the men dismissed me ( how unusual) but another f heard me. I posed my position in exactly the same way, too.

I am exhausted and worn out, but feel better about the matter now. I had to fight for my position but i was heard. Why do men do this? Do they have a switch in their brains that turn off when a woman in an equal position tries to get an important matter across?

To try not to be so suspicious. People are not always out to get me. Communication breakdowns can just be frustrating when they happen.

And Ya know, it feels good to clean the counter tops in the kitchen- idk why cleaning makes me a bit happier.. i need to do more but lazy days are ok too..

There's a family story that Grandma was trying to tell Grandpa the he was cutting a door too short and ended up with a big gap underneath. I've heard that it has something to do with the male of the species separating from his mother to grow up. Not sure. Seems to be a common phenomenon though.

Today I will tell myself it's a free day and I can do what I want.

I am going to go with that "free day" idea - for today. I will also tell myself that I will feel better again, if I do get back to some normal activity.

Get in the car and go somewhere in the morning - flea market . . . .anything. Just go. Get vertical and move. !!!!

Stop playing those old tapes and think something better.

To try to find some happy things about life or my local area. Ignore the news and look for positive things around me. Remind myself that not everything is about power, money and possessions.

I'm glad to have just read the posts above. I think they say well what I need to tell myself. I will tell myself that I can choose to think positive. (Seems so hard to believe that, but I should try.)
