If Everything is upside down and we see things the way they are now, doesn't that mean we're all delusional?

Why would that make us Delusional Kara? Is it not perspective?

Perspective would mean some people see the world upside down, side ways, right side up, etc. Science says everything is upside down but that our eyes tell our brains its right side up. So, It would be common place to wonder if we're all delusional, no?

I think of it similar to the way a camera works. The lenses turn it upside down and inside out, but in the end, the photograph turns it right side up again.

The way our brains process images, yea it may be turned upside down. But I don't think that makes us delusional.

Delusion is created from different perspectives. Optical illusions are really tricks of perspective. Clever placement. If you take a photo where you pretend to be pushing the Leaning Tower of Pisa... you can fool anyone to believe you're a giant.

I see a delusion as;;
a false belief or opinion: delusions of grandeur.

Psychiatry. a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact:

Yup. But when other people have different opinions than yours, sometimes they will call you deluded because you don't share their perspective. It becomes hard to discern whether you are actually deluded or brainwashed to believe you are deluded.

Ok, that can make sense then. Thank you for pointing that out. My view comes from a professional/clinical perspective. Thanks

I wonder why many people think I am female on this site? I know it only says Connections but I am curious about what I say that leads to the idea of me being female?

I didn't think you were female. But then again that's because the first time I talked to you was in chat.

Maybe...it's your picture of aurora borealis?

But they can be true KaraD. Why not. They are choices that need to be made, stick with it.

I wonder if we will get off this planet before it becomes uninhabitable.

Well I know I am the center of the universe.

(At least, I have my own unique frame of reference.)

I wonder why I'm such a thread killer

ACTUALLY I wonder if there's a conspiracy in Western medicine to keep us unwell (e.g., fee-for-service model, the whole diet industry, pharmacy naming new disorders they can market to,etc.)

You're not a thread killer.

And about your question about medicine, there is info all over the internet about that topic. I can give you some links if you want.

I wonder if anybody can say they saw one animal become another animal, ever? Fish make fish, monkeys make monkeys and humans make humans even though we r taught over millions of year animals evolve into other species?
