Okay, between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m (EST, between now and 6 hours from now :-) today everyone must do a chore they've been putting off or an activity they want to do or something "different" than their usual and then report back here!

I did something besides my "usual" Saturday, which you can read about in my thread in Kudos. Does that count? Do Your Thing day!

I wouldn't know, Nowhere, only you would know that; depends on how smelling your socks were getting and whether changing them was a "new" thing for you. If you bathe once a week though and today's your day, doesn't count :-)

Candybear, Saturday's thing counts for Saturday, no resting on laurels here!

Okay, I have my bedroom pulled apart (one of my 4 dresser drawers and a pile of stuff I was "storing" in a corner) and on my half of the bed (and my husband's getting ready to go upstairs and take a nap, eek!) Now what do I do??? I don't have room for all this "stuff". I hate having to make things worse before they get better; makes my anxiety worse.

my mom likes to store stuff for later.. her closets are like museums in ways..

not sure on the husband part.... i would try to find space around it if i needed a nap... half my bed is taken with clean clothes... havent filled up the dresser space and id have to trip over some stuff to get there... i used to be such a neat freak... guess this is my idea of neat now...

whoa... got off track there again...

Yup, until 9:00. I got waylaid too by husband's nap (which he's still at) so the bedroom is still all pulled apart. We're having 60 degree weather here and I'm wanting husband to cook steaks out on the grill tonight. Hope he doesn't decide it is too dark (wimp :-) or it doesn't cool down quickly or something. I just put the baking potatoes (5:00 p.m. here) but I have a whole lot of clothes to take and put in my car so I can take it to a thrift shop tomorrow when I have my friend with me for anxiety support :-)

You know how mean those thrift shop owners are (this one is huge) and picky; this is all the clothes from 2005 when I moved. Instead of packing them I took them to the cleaners and then picked them up from the cleaners and brought them home all nice and bagged, etc. and they've been that way ever since! I figure if I haven't worn them in over 2 years I don't need them? So, I'll be giving them to the thrift shop in cleaning bags! Talk about good clothes :-) But I'm still quite sure some red-faced, cigar chomping, sweaty undershirt guy will meet me at the donation door and demand to know what the heck I'm thinking bringing these clothes to them, nobody want's your clothes Perna, they're not good enough!

Of course, what I expect my friend to do about the guy I don't know? Beat him up or something?

What about those of us working 12+ hour days? I don't have time between 3 and 9 to do anything but work. In fact, I probably won't be done till 10-10:30.

Nice idea, for the leisure class. Do Your Thing day!

Didn't you start at 6:00 this morning? That would get you done at 6:00 this evening. Grab a bite and there's all kinds of time :-)

You can do something at work, doesn't have to be at home. Go ask the boss for a raise.

I started at 9, worked through till 4:30, and am getting ready to go drive 45 minutes to cover something that starts at 7. It should run an hour or so, then I have to find a wifi hotspot and write it and send it before I drive 45 minutes home.

I did something unusual for me. Because of my back problems I dont get up on chairs to do anything. But today I put my Live Love and Laugh words up on my shelves in my dining room. I got off the chair ok too without throwing my back out! Its a small thing.. But does it count?

If that makes you happy, that's your thing :-) Sure, anything counts! Of course, now you have to explain what the heck Live Love and Laugh words are and what they're doing on the shelves in your dining room?

So, is your back a bit better these days (that you tried this exercise in the first place) or were you just desirous of wanting your Live Love and Laugh words, and chanced your back?

My asthma and cough and energy have been getting better slowly over the last 2-3 weeks and I'm feeling healthier. I haven't decided if that's because I am healthier so everything is getting better or because I'm taking better care and working on getting better, everything is getting better. Is it me or is it Memorex?
