<font color="purple"> I feel like dead would feel better? [color] I overdid and in too much pain to think if it was worth it ( I had front section, floor tickets to see Meatloaf!) No, I didn't dance and jump.... (haven't been able to do that) but it was a long day, and the concert lasted 2 1/2 hours and then another hour for valet... and the drive back home.. I'm trashed. Trying to sort through thoughts by coming here to PC... have TENS on... meds onboard.... worried about feet contracturing and I have the TENS loaded for low back... I need ice... too much too much BUT it was a GREAT concert... and the man bought the tickets So fatigued, and in pain...

Oh I bet seeing Meatloaf was a blast!

I can certainly relate to your experience, I've nothing wise to say, and I myself am due for a hot bath. Ice pack. And it is time for meds. Hopefully sleep. Can someone email me a masseuse? So fatigued, and in pain...

(Can we make the steam roller and semi truck and tank stop driving over us again and again?)

So cool that you had fun at a great concert, maybe tomorrow hopefully the resulting pain will have eased a wee bit.

oh sky...i so relate to your post.....twice in the recent past i have tried to do two activities that used to be fun to do.......i went to a ryan adams concert and a yankee ballgame.......because of my spinal stenosis and degenerative back disease.....both activities turned out to be pure torture and my poor husband ended up having not so good a time because of me......feet contracturing?....could you tell me how this feels for you?..i think i may just be starting to experience it.....isn't it a bummer not to be able to enjoy things we like.....

Hi. I know how it feels to try and do something that turns out to bite us in the behind. When you get to feeling better, remember you will have that experience under your belt DESPITE your pain. Good for you for being bold enough to go out . That kind of pain really does suck canal water.

I avoid so much myself because I am too afraid of the cost..pain wise. Meatloaf is one of my all time favs. He is a real showman!!

Thanks all. I forgot I began this thread and when I read the subject line I thought, Wow can I relate! Then I came and found out.. yep it's mine! Oh my. I am in such horrible pain... I had one of the busiest weeks of the year.. (cept for May?) wait, May is a MONTH.. duh me.

I had to go out last night to a church report meeting and in the middle of it, one of my leadwires on my TENS unit shorted and I SCREAMED out in pain from the shock (it was on high) then the embarassment later...guess they will learn how disabled I am! My T suggested I just didn't want to show them so graphically. So fatigued, and in pain...

Today I had a major meltdown. My sister says I'm going to hell for going to the concert. Sigh. That is HER problem.. but I didn't have the words or the wherewithal to counter her on anything... and she insists I have written my own "doctrine" to believe (she disregards the millions of others )

I'm in level 9+ pain WITH meds on board and the TENS (one good leadwires left) and ice packs... I cancelled the housekeeper, Sears didn't show either so I rescheduled grrrrr I HATE this. I called the medical supply co and found out they never received my request for new wires (a few weeks ago) so they are on the way NOW....

Had an emergency call to T. How sweet of him to call back (within like 20 minutes??) I didn't need to go over all the stuff, but needed help to reassess my reactions and feeling so overwhelmed... which he did... To the point where within the hour I called the maid service to reschedule... the girl there was so upset and apologizing and saying how many ppl had been calling and yelling at her, I was able to chuckle, assure her I wasn't going to yell at her, as I had yelled at enough ppl today and had met my "quota" .. she and I laughed together on the phone, and for a brief moment I felt HEY I CAN DO THIS!

My T had said that I AM DOING this.. not "trying" but doing... but also that I need to "stay in my cave" for a day or two and take care of ME.

Thanks all for bearing with me GGGRRRRR (((fuzzybear)))

.... a contracture is when the muscles on both "sides" or opposing muscles all spasm at the same time, thus for the foot, the top muscles pull it wanting it to curl UP and the under muscles pull it, wanted to curl it UNDER and thus the whole foot goes into a "knot" of severe pain. I didn't get them this time (whew.) Sometimes having a sip of quinine water helps.. also with "restless leg" and calf muscle spasms.... Usually I slap the TENS electrodes on the muscles and crank it up on high till the spasming eases..
