This is what I have been trying to tell you Janniebug. You'll see that the brain scan comes up normal. When this happens, go see the neurologist and have them test you for neuropathy. Just my thoughts.

Brian.

Your ENT did an EEG ... what about allergy testing or vertigo/balance testing for Meniere's ??? Brain scan seems rather severe if you ask me. How long have you been off the Cymbalta? Sometimes a reaction to a med takes me a month or more to rid.

Ok, how is your jaw? Do you grind your teeth at night, or find your jaw sore at all? TMD can cause vertigo. How long since you've seen a good dentist/oral surgeon? Sigh PC is wracking their collective brain to try and figure this out for you

grrrrrr ...

Lol.....A EEG is a test that measures the balance of the heart with regular heart beat. If that came up normal, I would at least order a neuropathy test(usually consists of a tilt table) ....The reason is that the autonomic nervous system controls involuntary motor functions(heart, lungs, stomach, etc)
I have been having some of the same problems and you will get a lot of bad advise as you go through this(IE...alergy tests) but you have to focus on your health and what doctor you NEED to see next. just my thoughts

The ENT did they do an ENG THAT IS NOT a typo..ENG if not ask why..they put like water in your ear...you have to be med-less so long and that tells the REAL deal on your balance system

I went and saw the ENT today. She said she had no idea what was going on. She got the results of my EEG and it was normal. So now she's ordered a brain scan. I am thinking about just throwing in the towel and learning to live with it.

Wow guys...Thanks for all your thoughts and input. I have decided that I just need to learn to live with it. After I saw the ENT she wasn't real hopeful that she could find out what was wrong and I knew I was getting close to exhausting my benefits with Medicaid and know that for sure I can't afford a brain scan. So I haven't been real dizzy for about a week now and the only time I do is when I'm short of breath so I think its an oxygen thing. I am doing much better though on the dizzy side and have begun to learn to live with it.
