No problem, no problem. Exercise support needed

Sujin, getting into the habit of doing something every day, even if it's only 5 minutes to begin with, really helps.

One of the reasons I love my trampoline is that for every 1 minute of exercise, it's equivalent to 3 minutes of other types of exercise.

Hey Wi, do you think a trampoline is good for someone with motion sickness? It sounds so fun, but I'd hate to invest in one and then be in mid-air and spew all over the place Exercise support needed.

I tend to go back and forth between the treadmill and the stationary bike, and do stretching and light weights in conjunction with those. If I don't exercise 3-4 times a week, I just don't feel right.

I also try to exercise even when I'm not "formally" exercising, like parking far away from the entrance to a store for example, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Every little bit adds up! I guess consistency is the key. Exercise support needed

I get horrible motion sickness on certain amusement park rides. I don't have any problems with the trampoline. If you can jump up and down on the floor and not get sick, you should be fine. The only time I get a little weird feeling is if I look down. Then I see where my feet are going and I lose my balance and usually take a dive off the thing.

It does feel awfully strange when you get off and step on the floor and it doesn't give underneath you. LOL

Whatever you do, DON'T "invest" in one of those $20 or $30 ones you see in the stores. They're junk, don't have proper springs, and can actually hurt you.

There are several brands out there. Needak is the one with the most "toss" next to acrobatic trampolines, meaning you get more height, and they have a softer landing. Urban Rebounders are stiffer and don't give you as much loft, and it's the feeling of getting tossed into the air is what's the most fun.

You can get a stabilizer bar to hang on to, too. So if you'd be worried about feeling like you were going to fall off you have something to give you some security until you're used to it. The lady I bought my rebounder from would actually let you use them and return them for free, but she went out of business. I didn't need one though.

I think I need a trampoline! So is it kinda like jumping rope without the rope? Sounds fun and my kids would love it. But I guess it would be a summer type activitiey for where I live because my ceilings aren't high enough. Exercise support needed,

Well today I am going to try to run, I have my 2nd 5k coming up next Saturday and am suffering from a bad heal spur. My podietrist gave me an ultrasound treatment on it, so it feels better. I am training running one min. then walking 2 for a total of 30 minutes. I am not a good runner, but I want to do 5k's for chartity and not come in last. LOL I am totally handicaped for running due to my astma, but it is fun, so I don't want to give up. I have been training since Feb., so one day at a time I guess. Exercise support needed I might do some gardening instead if the running thing doesn't work.

grrrr.

I informed my PT today that I'm not even walking 1000 steps a day! He was surprised and suggested that is why I can't lose weight..and suggested a bike. Exercise support needed We've already been through the bikes with him!!! Over the years I went from a regular bike and miles of travel, to a recumbant bike (and workout in his gym/office) and when that became too much, I bought a 3 wheeler and had the brake on the handle and no friction with pedal brakes... and that became too much.. and I had to quit walking about the community...

IDK why he can't remember all this... maybe because he doesn't feel the pain??? Sorry, I've rambled.
