i am a bit confused about something my pdoc told me ..
lately my BP has been high off and on and been having mood swings also .. my son is deployed .. but i have been ok with it . my mother has high BP and has for years had anxiety also .. my pdoc seems to think it is coming from detached emotions about my son .. so .. should i use medication if the emotional thing is true? i perfer no meds .. because of the tiredness it causes .. confused...can anyone help me understand this? |

Stress can cause HTN, but it is also hereditary. Talk to you doctor about your confusion on this issue.

Meditation perhaps or guided imagery......when I feel my pressure
going up because of anxiety I GET all flushed from the neck up. I try to distract myself with nicer thoughts or something enjoyable...? ![]()

thank you for all your replies - very helpful.
HP is in our family .. kinda like a stple - so to speak.. It is when my pdoc brought up the unconcious mind knowing he is there and may be contributing to my recent HP that confuses me.. I do exercise - eat ok ..but maybe i can go further with that to help. I no longer see a T (as for now) due to the cost. I do take klonopin for anxiety and worried if i add a HP pill to that i would be slowed down too much as for as lack of energy. |
