... Cool... 'I'll See You later...Cool sense of humour (we need to the funny side of things)..

When I think about paranoia, its like looking at a two sided coin.

On the one side there is what I would call a healthy paranoia which keeps us safe, and is like an early warning system inside our brain. Telling us when danger is near or potential danger which may or could be real.

On the other side of the coin is the outer limits of paranoia which can cause anxious feelings and worry. Also keeping us awake at night. Telling us about things that are not real.

Healthy paranoia, is just that to me, healthy.
Outer limit paranoia 'I' think is placed by conditioning and society. Mass media ect, ect.

I try my best to control my anxiety when dealing with outer limit paranoia, med's help; but my ultimate goal is total control over anxiety on such concepts. Its hard work but I believe I can gain control over anxiety without the help of medication.

Darn twenty first century. I always knew about this subject, but I never realised how it could sneak up on me like this. Its outed now though for me so anxiety, I will bid you farewell.

Thank you for you're reply.

How many 'Eyes'.

Oh my goodness, I am off to Europe - (Paris, Berlin, Rome, Marsille, and even if I can make it - St Peterpurg.... - lol - forgive my bad spelling of capitals, I am stupid).

The eyes of the East are more intense of the eyes of the West...aahhhhh..lol
I'll get by on 'personality'. Friends from Africa say 'there are no eyes, but you're persona will get you through'.

I am excited.
(praha is a place where my friends live, but my friends who are there say - "Be Careful" - , fair nuff, I will be)

I'm reading George Orwell's 1984 which brings surveillance up to a whole different game: "Telescreens" (must be like a TV) in your own HOME! Big Brother can see and hear you. There are hidden microphones around the city, human spies following you, you don't dare show emotion in your face or in your tone of voice against THEM.

The book was published in the 1940's, and Orwell was ahead of his time. I guess he predicted life was going to be like that in 1984. Well, it wasn't, but it is now....in not quite the same ways.

they called it microconcrete back in the day in the Bloc (buildings with microphones with them).

I wonder what would happen if the Stalin style regime allied American Big Pharma. You know, they would watch you, but they'd feed you pills if you realize it or at least you would think it surely can't be true. So you are watched, but don't care (sorta like an effed up version of Big Brother, only nobody would win milions and those eliminated from the game would end in Siberia).

well, we have ACTA and SOPA and PIPA and whatnot and surely if they could get into our bedrooms, I am sure they would. They would cover it with some nicety nice argument too, for the country, for rights of our pets and children... Ya know, maybe I am not paranoid, maybe I am just informed. Sometimes I wish I was making all this **** up.

Yep, people are always watching me, tracking me, talking about me. I hate it when people are staring at me in town, I mean, I don't look any different.

dunno... it could be the posture and the way you act. People can sense when you are afraid, but they often interpret it as that you are suspicious (well, at least that is my experience on the borders and stuff:/)

Quite a generalization, I would say. If you are in "the establishment", or government, you can do nothing right?

There had been good politicians.... but most of them were bit anti-estabilishment.

Doesn't matter... I been born to country where the Big Brother watching you **** happened... the difference now is that those sneaky corrupt bastards are democratically elected.

The thing is... when I read threads like this (and I myself get paranoid at times a bit)... it is sort of ironic that well, we are monitored. And while the conspiracy theories are off, they are only off in the way that the govts are probably doing different kind of horrible things. I don't want to get too political, but there are things that sometimes keep me awake at night. As I said... I wish I was making up some of the things that are happening. I really really do.

Yep, I do believe that we are being watched all the time, especially for the high-tech world today, so big deal? Everyone is busy with his/her owned business, even we will be the target of some advertisers, but that is just for the commercial promotion. I am damn sure that would never ever affect my daily lift.

I have felt this way for many years. I don't feel like it's the technology, though. For me, it's like there's a comforting person there watching me all the time. I don't know who it is. Sometimes I think it's my therapist, which is absolutely absurd - like she would have the time and interest to spy on me. This person follows me everywhere even when I drive. They know everything that I do. It's more a comfort than a threat, though. Yes, I know, sounds crazy. But that person has been there for as long as I can remember.
