Quantum physics, and particularly Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, reveal that, as our perception of an object changes, the object itself literally changes. The science of religion is actually the science of consciousness, because ultimately all creation is expressed through the mind. Thus, our greatest tool for changing the world is our capacity to "change our mind about the world".

Because thought is the creative level of things, changing our minds is the ultimate personal empowerment.

Our self-perception determines our behaviour. If we think we're small, limited, inadequate creatures, then we tend to behave that way, and the energy we radiate reflects those thoughts no matter what we do. If we think we're magnificent creatures with an infinite abundance of love and power to give, then we tend to behave that way. Once again, the energy around us reflects our state of awareness. ~Marianne Williamson

That's really, really cool Fuzzy. I think that's absolutely correct - our success in the world in defined in a large part by how we see our selves, which therefore governs the degrees of our actions. Think big, act big, do big is my motto. It's not an excuse for arrogance, by any stretch of the imagination, but to realize that self-defeating behaviors limit our personal and professional growth and knowledge.

And here I am thinking physics was boring......Perception

some of it's magic
some of it's tragic
but i had a good life all the way......

Jeeez-o, Fuzzy! Perception That's some deep thinking! I need the depression to lift a bit before I can digest this, but it certainly seems to have so much wisdom in it! Perception

Warning: don't get me started on string theory and dark matter Perception

Fuzzy I believe these things so much... they have always been at the core of my "philosophy of life".

My favorite quote from any movie is from Contact, when Tom Skerrit apologizes to Jody Foster and says "unforturnately sometimes the world is not fair" and Jody Foster replies "I've always believed that the world is what we make of it"

I have also always been very interested in quantum physics and when I started learning about the scientific parallels to the idea behind that quote, wow, it all just blew me away, and continues to blow me away.

Thank you for starting this topic.
