I think we all come here for specific reasons...we're dealing with issues in our lives and looking for those who share in that experience. Because of that, we might only care to read specific forums. In fact, some forums might really trigger us, or get our emotions high and we maybe would like to avoid them altogether?

I want to remind members of our "show favorite forums" feature. It's something we've had since before I came on board, but isn't easily noticable.

If you go to the main page (forums index) where you can see a listing of all the forums, scroll down the the bottom and you'll see an option to select favorite forums. You can easily pick the forums you want to view (even if it's all of them but one) and that's all you'll see. Just click into any forum and scroll down to bottom-left and select "add/remove favorite forums" Forums you don't care to see, or feeling overwhelmed? It's easy to switch back at any time. After you've added one or two or three, go back to the main page and select the "view favorite forums".

I know when I first came here, PC looked so big and intimidating...one of the forums very triggering as well. I selected my favs and kept up there...helping my overall experience. If I felt particularly "emotionally safe" or wanted to read more and felt all "caught up", I went back to showing all forums.

It's really another cool to maximize our experience here and put it more in our control. Forums you don't care to see, or feeling overwhelmed?

Check it out!

KD

You're welcome! Forums you don't care to see, or feeling overwhelmed?

It's really another good tool "not to see" what you can't handle, or don't want to see or deal with.

It's another way to get the most of what you can and want to, and keep self feeling ok while you're doing it. Forums you don't care to see, or feeling overwhelmed?

a forum i would like to see is a forum for non americans has most of the time you ( americans) dont get "our" sense of humour, manerisms or point of view and when we dont agree with your politics or manerisms for example we are rubbished, deleted or ridiculed, just a thought.

carpet and curtains also sept,

no i dont want to segregate myself, but i would like to see a forum for non americans, there are quite a few of us non americans in here who have veiws and opinions that dont fall into line with americanised veiws and are sick of having to talk via pm or email instead of in the open forums in case we "offend" your sense of morals and idealisations

Mellors... not all Americans are the same! I for one have VERY different views that are not considered "inline" in other American's views.

I personally like to be able to read all the threads, for one never knows when they may come across a situation that they can give advice on or help with..... I read them all, even the ones that I do not have or know a lot about - but as a person I can understand, accept and extend my shoulder to another.... no matter what.

But for some people....... I can see how this could help them until they and their resonated emotions are under control.... my best wishes to you all.

LoVe,

OK, I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I have a question. I went through and picked out my favorite forums. Ok, now when I sign off here and then come back on to PC, where do I go to find my favorite forums?

Love,

When you sign out, then back in again, it will show the setting you last had. For instance, if you're showing only your favorite forums when you sign out, it will be that way when you sign back in.
