Sounds like a good question to me! It might get a big rise out of some of the audience! Don't go to "knuckle junction" over it! LOL

I feel that if you don't post what you are doing to make these changes in your thinking, etc. you're not keeping me company! Slowly becoming aware...

The purpose is to help each other by saying what we want to change and how we're doing it... or asking for support in changing the one thing we're working on.

Septie, I hear you and for a moment there I got scared. Iteresting that my first thought is that, that might trigger people but Its me that it might trigger. "The have to" part although you are just making a request. Hard to face some things and even harder to post it. Some things are easy and some are not. But here goes.
Realizing that how much of my depression, bi-polar, anxiety, Ptsd , is really undiagnosed grief and trauma on trauma, on trauma. Everytime someone infers that why am I not getting bettter, whats wrong with me, retriggers me. No matter how much confidence and self- esteem I build all it takes is a criticism to have it all fall apart. The cristicism is from my family and is never out of my head. Realising that, that is never going to change and it is time to move on. Realising also that although I was raised in a white family, white community, with white values how much I had internallised about my Indian heritage. Realising that although the stuff I have read seemed to be from others past, books, movies, etc how much it impacts my life today because of its impact on my mother, her mother, and my kids.

Froggie, I hope I didn't say those words to you! They rile me up when said to me. I don't HAVE to do anything! ...unless *I* want to!

Discrimination is a hard thing to get over. I've been there. In fact, I'm really hard on people that are of the heritage that I am ashamed of. Never say or do anything to their faces, but... well... never mind. It would be better taken to PM.

Froggie, you could be the One-eyed, One-horned Purple People Eater and I'd STILL love you! Slowly becoming aware...

PS Froggie, FIRST, ABOVE ALL ELSE, you are HUMAN. Is your skin not quite milky white? Is your hair black? Yeah... so?? That only defines what people see at first sight. That doesn't define the kind of person you are!

You don't have to do it here, but make a list of the things that you like about yourself; from the smallest to the biggest. Dwell on that for a while. Can you do that for me? Slowly becoming aware... Slowly becoming aware...

Mellors, I'm not going to kick your butt this time. You know best what you need right now. But I AM keeping a tally! Slowly becoming aware... I just might have to give you a hug next time! Slowly becoming aware...

If I don't report back tomorrow that I called some hospitals asking about their "Grandma" program, get ready to kick MY butt, ok? Slowly becoming aware...

Read today's new thought... it says that what we do is not just for here and now but that it contributes everywhere and always to the whole of life!

That's something to bite into! Slowly becoming aware...

Todays thought rally applies to me... I tend to make mountains out of molehills very quickly... But I'm going to try and choose not to get upset so quickly and to breath a moment and assess the real severity of the situation....

I could give you a rough time and tell you what Yoda said "Do or not. There is no try." But I know how hard it is to break a habit like not stopping to remember that you have a choice. It's a toughy!

I'm with you all the way, Hon! Slowly becoming aware...

I don't know why I keep doing this because apparently there is no interest... but BUMP anyway!

Don't forget that the motivator is on the very first post of this thread and it changes daily.

BUMP!

Slowly becoming aware... It's almost hilarious if you stop and think about it. Unless, of course someone can find an argument to make about the current motivator! Slowly becoming aware...

But... just in case someone takes the time to read something positive...

You would not believe the coincidence... I was just sitting here moaning and griping about the fact that everyone is asking me to do stuff for them, even though I just got out of hospital... And this made me realise that I should be thankful that I am able to do all these things so quickly, it means that I am healing quickly....

Slowly becoming aware... I know some people that would REALLY benefit from today's motivator! Fat chance, though. Some people love their resentments more than they like achievements.

I know how you feel, Hon! There's times when I get so selfish and pouty 'cause people only ask me to do for them. They never ask what they can do! Slowly becoming aware... Well... that's in 3D... not so much here.

I often wonder who is in the wrong... is it other people for asking too much? But then I think that other people can't all be wrong... then I wonder, is it me? But how can you change it? How can I feel happy to do all these things? Is the depression keeping me from it? Or is it just human?
