Hi - Just new on sight. Posted a couple days ago but no responses received. Is this normal? Been searching for a sight with supports for spouses or family members who are affected by their spouse or family member who has mental health issues. Would just like to talk?

Hello bowry and welcome to the forums here.

Sometimes a post may be overlooked when the boards are busy and sometimes no one may have any specific input and they are just waiting for someone else to start the ball rolling. Of several internet support sites I've found this one to be the most "personal" in terms of people really caring about each other. It is not as busy as some of those sites so sometimes it takes longer to get a reply. Sometimes a post "hits home" with people and there are too many replies to keep up with A Little Disappointed..

I think you will find the people here very welcoming and it should not take long for people to get to know you. Everyone here is very open to new members. They want to give the kind of support they have received here.

I am sure you will receive some responses, it may take a few days for the majority of members to come by and read. If you find you haven't had a response after a few days please post again to be sure your post wasn't just lost in the shuffle. As I said, this board is not as "crowded" as the other boards I've visited, and while this lends to more of a caring atmosphere and personal attention here (IMO) it also means not as many eyes each day to keep up with posts.

Bowry, I'm sorry that I hadn't seen any of your posts before. I've been going through a rough time myself and have been pretty self-indulgent.

Welcome to the board. Hope things go smoother for you from now on.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
