I grew up on property that had no city connections... way out in countryside then. The septic tank had to be addressed yearly. There's no other way. Have a honey dipper come clear up your problems and be done with the problem for a year or so!

Good wishes.

We've talked with the owner of the complex. They say it is partly the residents responsibility. Basically they need to be responsible for what they are putting down the pipes. Management can only do so much, you know?

I will never understand why people put what they do in the plumbing system. Paper, plastic, food. They even found a sock once. All the things that couldn't possibly belong there.

I wish they would just give us a bigger tank, but I have to agree witht he mangement on this one. Too bad they won't evict the residents who keep backing the system up.

Going to get some Rid-X today.

An old mop was found in my septic pipe. The city workers were absolutely amazed and we still marvel that it went through the toilet.

Might be worthwhile to buy your neighbors some too Septic Issues

Yes, all sorts of things go down the tube... especially when TV commercials show kiddos flushing all manner of things! Maybe the plumbers of society fund those commercials??? Septic Issues

Well, I still say the septic tank can handle it if it's taken care of. Once it's in the septic tank, it doesn't really matter what's there...it still fills eventually. The owner needs to keep it maintained. That should come out of his income from the properties, imo.

Hope it's resolved quickly. If not, the Health Department would like to hear from you, I'm sure. Septic Issues
