I have a communicable disease on my farm. Two of my cats have been cultured with Diptheria. These are the first known cats to ever have that bacteria. The CDC is most unhappy and have been here one afternoon and may return.

Diptheria is often found in Russia in humans (where their poverty prevents vaccination) but since the year 2000 only 6 cases were found in humans in the USA. Also some horses in Europe have been found carrying the bacteria. But my cats are the very first evah. I feel so special.

AHH, Yoda, I am sorry you are going through this. When I had horses they contracted a fungus that caused some problems. Not as serious as Diptheria. I wonder where your cats got it? Sorry you have to deal with this.

My goodness, I haven't been on this thread for 5 days. I found I have more sore spots on my head than where the red spots are.....my horse & the pipe coral.....did a real number on me....oops.

Diptheria in cats.....how strange...& where in the world did it come from.....I hope they find out....that would be one good thing for them to investigate.

My horse has a mild case of strangles....treating that was how I ended up getting banged up. I hit a sore spot on her & got in the way. Amazing how bad she felt after spooking.....came immediately looking for hugs.

they killed data??? when??? why dont i know about this!!??

its so weird. am watching a british tv channel and theres a program about an irish college in ireland. dont know if this is a particular program only being broadcast in ireland but i doubt it! its so excellent if the british have the opportunity of watching this!
i went to irish summer college for 3 weeks when i was 15. everyone goes at some time. it was hideous torture for me but that was because of the issues i had at the time. its actually a fantastic cultural phenomenon. and its amazing i can actually understand this program! lol. well most of it.
so this is totally off topic. hehe.
edited to add: actually watching all the kids having a ball at the discos etc is making me kind of sad that i could never do that. i literally spent those discos hiding outside or wherever.

They didn't "exactly" kill Data! In the last movie, (Nemesis) another android that looked like Data was found/made (my memory's a little rusty on this one). The "origional" Data saved Picard's life, but ended up getting killed BUT NOT BEFORE he made a "transfer" of sorts to the "new Data" THEREFORE Data isn't "really" dead - the "new guy" is very much an infant of sorts. This leaves plenty of room for Brent Spinner (the actor) to come back and take the character in a whole new direction.
