it really saddens me that someone can be alone waiting in support while up to 12 other members are in social.

i understand that one may not be able to support others as they are easily triggered that day etc. thats fine.

but when you are able to, PLEASE DO..

we need EACHOTHER...

this is PsychCentral....

I'm sorry that you didn't receive the support you needed it when you needed it. (((hugs))) Or that that happens to anyone.

I know that with the influx of many new members daily that they don't know about the support room, and others who may are busy chatting with the newbies, or just self absorbed with their own issues. Yes, there are also those who are unable to go give such one on one support even though they are in chat.

At times in regular chat room members will notice someone in support alone, and mention it and find that no one in the regular chat is up to going... usually someone does try to go make contact though.

If you need support, always check the Who's online and see if a mod or admin are on, and PM them and ask for a chat.
If no one comes, please do try and work through some of it through posting in the forum that best fits, it isn't as immediate, but it can't hurt.

Before going to the support room to wait for someone to respond, you could try stopping in where everyone else is chatting. If there is someone specific you would like to talk to, ask him/her if he/she would be willing to go to the support room with you. I've also seen members just put a general message out in public to everyone indicating they would like someone to join them in the support room and often times someone will respond that way.

Just my thoughts..

I am sorry that anyone had to wait for support.

If you don't feel comfortable asking out in chat for support , it might be a good thing to pop into a room with members and then leave to support , someone may follow , that is what I try to do, That way members have the chance to see you go into support, I would freely give support to anyone that asked , as long as I am capable to do so , My box is open to PM's from anyone. I am always willing to listen

I agree .... the state of chat the state of chat

(personally I don't chat much usually but I know what you mean the state of chat )

I particularly agree with your comment that we need each other.

I have seen this happen too. It may be the case that people are already in chat and don't realise that people have gone into support. I agree with the others, whenever people have come into a room where others are chatting and ask for them to come, someone always has.

we always try to go to Support if someone is there alone, but none of us can be on line all the time the state of chat

& like the others said, sometimes one just isn't able to do it.

You know, you can always PM any member who is on line & ask for Support in Chat ? or you can even ask ppl to make a private room to talk to you ? we have only ever had one member turn down a request for support in how ever many years it is that we have been here now, & he's gone.

also, if you are reading posts, or in chat, you have to remember to keep checking if there are ppl in a room alone.

do you know how to PM in Chat ? coz then you can go into a room full of ppl & talk to just one member & ask them for help, without having to tell the whole room. Chat is often very busy, these days, so many members now.

our PM box is always open too & we'll change ourselves back to "visible" so you can always find us
