I had genetic testing 4 years ago and it said I didn't have any BDNF - critical for neuron paths. And it said I had high Serotonin Transporter activity (responsible for Serotonin Re-up take). Also said I would probably have adverse reactions to lots of anti-depressants (which has been very true last 35 years). And deficient in Norepinephrine functioning.
.I was just told I'm autistic and I've had severe mood disorder last 45 years with 99.9 percent no relief. I've told lots of Drs last 5 years that I can't go on like this anymore and they didn't care one bit... I think Norepinephrine is Adrenaline and I think that I run on that sometimes because I can get worked up over music very easily (I've played guitar most of my life and got accepted to UNC Music School) and I used to exercise a lot when I was younger and that pumped me up.

Not sure if you're asking something. May I assume you might like advice?
I wonder if you tried something like Nuvigil as a mood elevator. I think it can boost Dopamine. It's prescribed for folks like me who have daytime sleepiness due to a sleep disorder. I think I'm on the autism / ADHD spectrum, too, and I think it's helpful that, too.

Never heard of it. I don't want anymore drugs because Prozac almost killed me last 2 years (and have not recovered from it) and 2 other meds almost killed me last year.
I've taken every drug last 35 years with hardly any relief and tons of shock treatment which destroyed me 30 years ago. Mental health system is a huge scam and I proved it - I asked a Sr Dr at best hospital on the East Coast how much she knew about mood disorders and she said "Not much, maybe we'll know more in 10 years". So all these lousy Drs I've seen last 35 years have been lying to me and are deluded as hell. I told all of them where they can go l. I'm sick but I'm not stupid! I have an engineering degree and got accepted to Music School at UNC. Something's definitely wrong if my BDNF and norepinephrine aren't working properly. And no one has listened to me last 40 years! They all tell me "Everything's going to be alright". They lied.

Nuvigil and Provigil (cousin drugs) are not on the list of what you have tried. They work differently from the meds you have tried. Both did nothing for me personally (when I was sleepy and would take one of them, I proceeded to sleep more as if I had taken a sugar pill), but mine was an unusual reaction. I have a friend with bipolar II who takes one of them and the medication helps him a lot. My friend works full time (admittedly, on a flex schedule) despite a very severe form of a disorder and it took him a great many years of trying unusual med combos, but ultimately he has found stability which is with him nearly all the time. He also has a creative outlet by writing a blog on technical topics, his area of expertise, and he listens to a lot of music videos on YouTube that span decades, originals and covers. Lastly, he vapes marijuana and for him personally doing so helps the overall mental state. He only vapes on weekends. He is not an addict and vaping is a special treat rather than an escape from everyday life. In the past he drank beer but then stopped. I wish my friend exercised but to him, it is not a possibility, probably because he gets bored. No, his life is not perfect but it is good enough, with enriching interests and outlets. Considering that when he was young, he made several attempts at his life by using the exhaust in his car, he has made a tremendous amount of progress. He raised children and has a couple of grands now. He says that he was lucky back in the day to happen on a psychiatrist at a Boston hospital who was willing to combine drugs that normally aren't used together. Had my friend been confined to typical combos of medications, he would not have found such effective and long playing relief.

P.S. my friend did not finish an engineering degree but works as an engineer. Had he found effective treatment earlier, he would not have dropped out of college and would have obtained a degree in engineering.
He likens his problem to a hardware defect in the brain. Not software but hardware. Same probably applies to you. But this is not a reason to give up. You need a doctor who will understand that you are a smart person and not try to dumb you down and use platitudes on you, but you also need to give that doctor your trust in the experimental method of looking for solutions via trial and error. It takes a partnership between the patient and the psychiatrist.
