All things come to him who waits - provided he knows what he is waiting for.

But not all know what they are waiting for, do they, I mean, not exactly anyway.

When do you learn to let your heart open up to someone? I am so sick of the ride, but I can't get off. Th first time I opened my heart, I was stupid, and swore never to love again, but then met my last BF. It took me several months to open my heart to him, only to have him tear it to shreds. Alas, I have to put the shattered bits of it back in the gaping hole in my chest and wonder....do I dare attempt to love again? Or do I just stay seated with both arms in the car at all times and "enjoy" the ride?

I thought I could not survive without the attention and protection of a man. I, too, basked in the excitement of being flattered and in thinking a man was perfect and even more so when he payed attention to me.

Well, guess what? Nobody on this earth is perfect. Each person has his/her own agenda. I learned the hard way that until I was well enough to stand on my own two feet, period, I wasn't ready for a relationship at all, and that the last thing I needed was a "crush" on someone.
