My little Chihuahua, Amy, sleeps right between my husband and I. We started off with her sleeping in her own little bed next to my side of the bed but one really cold night she tried to jump into the bed. So I lifted her up and ever since then she has slept in our bed. If my husband gets out before me, she snuggles right into my arms and snores louder than what should be considered normal for such a small dog!!

I can't imagine not having her in my bed!!

No my pets do not sleep in my bed...... hubby put a stop to that 12 years ago when I was snuggling with our now thirteen year old Chihuahua more than him -

I always joke with hubby that I will get a large breed dog if he passes away before me and he/she will sleep right next to me in our bed.... along with the big fluffy cat I have never been able to own since hubby is highly allergic to cats.

Gotta Love those Spouses....

No my dog doesn't sleep in mine or my childrens bed. She sheds too much plus I think it spoils them too much - even though I know it's hard to resist their doggy cuteness. Aren't you worried since your dog is so small that you or your hubby might roll onto her?

my times I find my kitty booka sleeping on my bed... well... actually on my stuff on my bed. But she doesn't sleep with me, though one time when she was still a little kitten I was sleeping and I was waking up really cranky because my brother screaming profanities at his game woke me up, only to have the first thing I see is a face full of kitten. I wasn't that cranky anymore.

Both my cats sleep in my bed -- one near my head, one near my feet.

It has been 4 years now and we haven't once rolled onto her. It is like a sixth sense! Oh and I agree it spoils them. I couldn't get her to sleep in her own bed now if I tried. She loves it during the day at least.

We have three dogs ( one miniature dachshund and two rat terriers) and all three of them sleep with us unless my niece is here. Then one of the rat terriers has to sleep with her. Someone may try to steal the child. LOL. They are real protective of children. It is just we don't have any. Our dogs are our children. Yes, they are very spoiled.

You betcha! My 60 lb lab and dalmation mix sleeps with us and anywhere from 1 - 3 cats also. We had to go from a double bed to a queen size bed because the dog took up so much room!!!!!
Thanks for this!

Only when I'm not in it!!! He warms it up for me while I take a bath... but he has his own bed, a canvas cloth raised off the floor by a metal frame. It is right next to my bed though.

My dog sleeps on my bed, though he has his own little bed that goes on top of mine so his hair and stink does not get all over my bed. He likes it. Its made of flannel and stuffed with batting plus he has his own blanket. That way he gets to be on the bed without being all over me or getting hair/stink all over my bed. We are both very happy with it! LOL

ROFL , I would love to see the chickens in the bed! Would love to have the dogs sleep with us, but I am allergic! It doesn't keep me from having them in our family though, sniff-sniff!

Yes I have two cats and they both sleep in my bed. One (my best friend I've had for 13 years) sleeps cradled in my arm and the other one sleeps wherever it suits her for the night. I absolutely feel so lonely when they are not there. I'd actually rather have them sleep with me rather than a husband! LOL Obviously I am single and happy!

The mutant shepherd sleeps wherever he wants, sometimes in bed, more often in the coolest place in the/his house.

I'd say he's spoiled, but that would imply I'm the "master" who chooses to spoil. The master-pet demarcation has always been blurry...

We don't allow our pets to sleep with us. However, on Saturday mornings, we do allow them to come in and play with us in the bed. Usually hubby goes back to sleep with the dog cuddled next to him. On this particular Saturday, tho, you will notice that she chose an unusual position.

Sorry it's fuzzy, took it with my cell phone. I thought it was hilarious!

Not being settled in my home yet, even after 2 years, I have an air mattress on the floor that I sleep on for my bed.....throw a blanket down on it & crash there with a pillow.

I have 6 american eskimo dogs....3 sleep with me upstairs & the other 3 that are in their puppy pens in the kitchen wish they slept with me & they would if they all got along, but they fight between themselves & I don't want to pay for a vet bill if I let them sort it out.

Last night, I was working on my laptop which is also next to me on my air mattress...decided to call it a night, crashed on my side of the mattress with Tawny snuggled up at my stomach, Leo at my feet, & Celia on top of the back pillow I have propped up next to the wall.

I had just fallen asleep when I was woken up with gentle little dog kisses on the end of my nose.....guess Tawny forgot to give me her good night kiss before we settled down & she felt the need to make sure she gave me her sweet little kiss. She is my most snuggle dog of all....most of the time, she curls up next to my back....realized what a wonderful heating pad she really does make.

Have to be careful with Celia as she does the flying leap thing even in the middle of the night when she wants to come onto the bed & can end up landing right on top of me.....Leo just bull dozes his way to where ever he wants to go but luckily, most of the time he lays on the floor right next to the mattress.

Just pray there are no thunderstorms in th middle of the night....they hear the thunder long before I ever do & then all of them are on top of me & I might as well forget about sleeping until the storm passes.

During the ice storm last January, I decided to put muzzles on them so they couldn't hurt each other & had 4 in my room to keep warm as we snuggled trying to keep from freezing in a house that was 36F.

Would't think of not having my babies in bed with me,
Eskielover (Debbie)

Of course! Where else would they sleep? They don't know they're dogs! They must be under the covers. Our Rott had to sleep with her head on the pillow.

Sabrina, hello my friend!!

We have a chihuahua as well!! And she sleeps with us too.......she also has her own little bed beside us......but loves to snuggle.......I worry sometimes that we will end up lying on top of her, she is so small.......but we are careful...

Nice to hear of others sleepy dogs!!

Big hugs,
