If so, could you say what you are scared of. I'm too scared to say what I'm scared of, but am interested in reading what others are scared of, so that I can compare whether my fears are similar to anyone elses. Could you also say how often you're scared of the dark. I'm scared almost every night. Thanks.

bugsbunny,
People can be scared of the least little thing. What might seem like a terifiing thing to some people could seem comforting to others. If you want to share what you are afraid of, then it'll be ok. Quite personally, i'm afraid of getting stuck in a relationship that turns out bad. I'm scared of having false hope in someone. I'm scared that i'm going to go to college for 6 years just to find out that what i have been going for isn't for me. I'm afriad of not having a place to stay, or the place that i do stay be treated like a slave. sometimes i'm even afraid that people at work pretend to like me. I mean they go out after work with each other. Why am i stuck behind. I'm hopful that this will all change one day... but... that is what i'm afraid of off the top of my head.

Hmm I'm afraid of becoming afraid! (Fear of fear.) I don't like surprises.

And, I 'm afraid of waiting too long to end my life and reaching a point where I cannot physically have the choice any more., of being "stuck".

And, I'm claustrophobic. 'nuff said about that!

...I can misspeak like the best of us

I'm not exactly feeling scared of the dark but there are nights when having the lights on is very comforting.

I don't ever sleep or stay in a house, or anywhere at anythime with out a light on. Even the dimmest light is good enough. I won't look into a room until the light is on....I reach around to the light switch before looking in. I know it is all rediculous but i am too afraid of what i will see....what is there .....what ever. There are no specific things except death of other people that i am afraid of seeing. Which is part of my disorder and i knwo it is rediculous and not real, but can't shake it....ior as my psychologist says, hasn't YET shaken it.
