I was diagnosed with psychosis, but I was only under the doctors care for three days.
I suffer from frequent flashbacks. I can't go to certain places anymore. I can smell his cologne again...the list goes on.
I do "check out".
I hate it so much...having to see it all over again...and it never stops.

That does sound like some things that fall under the category of PTSD. It sounds like hypervigilence to. "Checking Out" is jsut a coping mechanism that serves us well at times and caused huge issues other times.

Do you have a T or have you told any one about this? What starts out as psychosis can be mistaken for other things. Did this event you spoke of happen recently or a long time ago.

I do know about hyper vigilance. I haven't had a therapist. I have been terrified for a while. Both events happened at different times. On last year spanning 8 months and the other, six months ago.
*trigger warning**

They gave me really strong meds and I was hallucinating and as my doc said "going crazy" because of them. The second meds, I woke up in complete pain and unable to scream. I don't want to try again.

It sounds to me more like you would benefit from T for trauma, rape and others forms of abuse. Meds are obviousy not working for you.

Meds have helped me a lot. But T has helped me so much more. The T gave me coping mechanisms and ways to calm myself. She made sure others knew what to do for me in the case it appeared I was "Going crazy." The T and I came up with a plan of what others should know and what to do for me. We sent letters to Dr's and dentists, and any one else involved in my care so that if I came "unglued" they would know why and what to do or not do.

We used EMDR techniques to shut thoughts off and self soothe, music, animals, silly putty, the smell of roses. We also talked about what to avoid. I can't write those at the moment. It is to triggering for me to say them, and may even be triggering to others if I wrote it. Stupid stuff, but stuff that bother me nonetheless.

I hope you can find peace and resolve soon, weather threw meds or counseling or both.
