I've been on a run for 8 days. 3:09 am and I'm here not in bed. Hyper, fast thoughts, writing like crazy, no sleep...I don't know which med is causing it or if I'm actually manic. Should I call P-doc tomorrow stat or I'm I overreacting and being emotionally intense about the deal. I always think they will think I'm trying to get attention, but I feel really, really crappy.....

I would call your Pdoc this morning!

I feel the same way about calling my pdoc...."will they think I am just too needy?" But IMHO ...being manic is nothing to fool around with...

Take care!

I going to try my hardest to call this am. I hate phone calls, but I think this feels serious. I did not sleep 1 minute last night. Thank you for the encouragement.

Do you mean you haven't slept for 8 days? If it's been that long, I can not imagine any pdoc think you are looking for attention, but would help you if you give them a call.
Before my DX,back in 1999, I went 8 months, with only 2 hours of sleep a nite, attended college part time and stay at home mom. I'd love to have a fraction of that energy I had,but eventually I had a meltdown, which was triggered by finding out someone was unfaithful to me, big time.
Call, your pdoc asap.
Take care now,
DE

Your doctor will want to know this. And your meds need changing.

Update - I actually picked up the phone, and made the call. Result - drop Geodon, Raise Lamictal back to 400 mgs. take anti-anxiety Clonazapam to get back down. Later, she might switch to a different mood stabilizer or add on to the Lamictal....

I'm happy you got in touch with your pdoc. I'm sending you warm wishes of luck with this transitional period, never lose faith in yourself, in time things will work out.
Please take care,
DE

You are paying this doctor a lot of money, or your insurance company is. They work for You. You should not have to suffer and you should feel that you can call him night or day if you need anything. That is what he is there for. I know it's hard when things are always changing but even still. In the past, I have suffered from mania and not sleeping. It's aweful. I've responded well to lithium and lamictal. I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for all the support. I have come crashing down, and you know what happened....I was invalidated by my "T" saying that p-doc said, "She was not "high" since April 30." They again were trying to dispute the time period (and say it was just a couple days) because they want the so called "borderline" to be that and not bi-polar. So that is why I hate calling people because no matter what is my "truth", I'm always told I'm making too much of the problem....tears just come rolling down my cheeks.....

If at all possible, can you change T's???
Or is it possible you are in a way that you feel this way?
I know, so often many of us, when in a down way,(funk)etc. may be so caught up in that, we lose focus of things.
And, wow, if our meds are off and need changes, we can really feel way off, defensive, offended, while it is really us.
2 things I can think of, is 1)change pdoc/Ts
2) Talk with the present one(s) and get your exact point across. If not happening, then tell them you would like a name of another group or practice that can address your question/interest/disorder, etc.
Just my 2 cents.

Right now I am in an emotional mind state--but my reasonable mind tell me to leave a message for P-doc telling her that I have now "crashed down" and some statement regarding people disputing my timeline. Who knows, my "T" does like to stir things up and maybe P-doc never disputed anything (wisemind). Whatever, they think--there is a huge difference in my physical and emotional state...and I can feel a little depression creeping in....
