hey guys

I've been taking fluoxetine since Jan. and I feel as if it's not working as well anymore. Doc has chaged my meds to effexor so Im hoping my mood will lift again soon cos I seem to have no energy these days....what are the most common side effects of effexor cs I've not really heard much about it?

I've just split up with the girl I've kinda been goin out with for the past few weeks......She justs wants to be friends....that's the story of my life. I'm just seen as a nice guy to women....but the nice guys never get the girls!...or I've yet t find one anyway. I've been told I am a good looking guy but I just don't know how to have a close relationship with someone.....wot to say etc.
Even when Im out with my mates I feel as if Im just on the outside o the group listening in to the conversation......and if I do contribute anything it is usually something daft that people just laugh at anyway.......how can I improve my social & communication skills???

Anyway, Im gonna go to the self-help group this week for the first time....bit nervous but I reckon it's a step in the right direction.

Later

Marco

Welcome, Marco! changings meds The side effects I had from Effexor were very vivid dreams and getting very warm all of a sudden. Every time the dosage was changed I'd be getting hot and then cold. I also had a strange sensation of feeling like I was in some sort of altered state and would sit and stare! It was odd. I've been on it several times and it was okay 'cept for those things.

Yes, you are taking an important step for improving relationships by going to that group. You sound like a nice guy. Best wishes to you with it all.

I went to my first self help group meeting 2 weeks ago. Going to my second meeting this week. It does make you nervous. I was extremely nervous. Whatever happens - I wish you the best of luck.
Take care
*hugs*
